Wanaka. What a spectacular place! This tree sits in the icy cold water, some how thriving. It has been photographed many times before by many different photographers. The sunrise wasn't that good on this particular morning but I had to get a photo of it, anyway.Sadly, I think someone tried hacking at this tree a few years back. I actually have no idea if it's still there. Despite it not being a native, it would be a sorry shame to not have it around anymore. It adds a lot of grace and beauty to an already sensational part of the world.
