This looks like a masterpiece artwork has jumped off the page and turned 3 dimensional. It's amazing! I never knew that you could do such amazing artwork with beads. I am truly, truly stunned with amazement and delight. Keep up the great work. And could you maybe do a Toothless bead drawing from how to train your dragon?😅 Sorry for asking.

Wow, this is very impressive. Great use of shading and colors. Not to much to complain about or nitpick. Looking at the original sprite you made great use of the colors on hand. The only tiny thing that I can say is the use of the yellow, it makes it seem like that his face is in front of the heat source. Again not a huge nitpick but it's the only thing that I see that looks a bit strange. That is about it on any complaints, so now I'll just ramble this on till I hit the character limit. Great job, and I look forward to what you make next.

First off, when you were working on this piece you actually inspired me to make my own. It's hanging proudly on my own wall as I'm writing this. I think it's amazing how you're able to turn a large pixel sprite into a bead project. I know that deciding on which colours to use can be very difficult, since you're so limited in what you've got. I hope you'll keep up the good work.
That said there are a few things that bother me a little bit about this project. I see that you've used a few grey beads along the tips of Red's mane and the end of his tail. With the darker background this is really noticeable, and I think it takes away from the beauty of the overall project. I also wonder why you've decided to make his nose blue, while you could have used hama colour 12 (dark brown).
Since I've made this project myself as well I can also tell that there's one colour variation that you didn't add (at least from what I can tell). For his main body you've used 3 main colours (3 yellow, 4 orange and 44 pastel red), where you could have used 4. Because of this, I'd say Red has turned out to be a little bit too pink (pastel red).
In case you're curious I've used hama 3, 4 and 43 (pastel yellow), and photopearls 13 (which is a slightly lighter orange than hama).
I guess since I'm also into this hobby and have made Red myself (though a little bit differently) I tend to be a bit critical. It doesn't take away that this is a huge undertaking, and that the end result is still amazing no matter how critical I get. You're an inspiration to me, and I hope you'll continue to make awesome bead art.

I know that I sometimes have trouble picking the right colors
The hama brand is most widely available here and due to my big projects and the number of beads it takes up I stick to one brand, so photopearls is not available to me. I thought about importing other brands to expand my color palette but it is 1. too expensive and 2. I simply have no more room to store them

I know the pain. I always get frustrated with picking colours. But then again, I'm a perfectionist, so I tend to want to stay t close to the actual colours of my example 
In my country (The Netherlands) it's actually quite tricky to get the beads. Every toy store has them, but they've only got a very small selection. Luckily I've found a webshop that's like a Bead Valhalla. I can buy all the hama and photopearls beads that I could wish for :3.
Still, even though it gives me a little bit more variation in colours to choose from, it's not a lot.
Also with Red, I noticed it also depends on the quality of the photo. On some of the work in progress pictures you've made it looks a lot more red, and then it looks awesome 
In the end, as long as you think it looks pretty then it's alright

Hi!
So I discovered this a long time ago and was inspired to do one of my own. I'm finally getting around to it, but I'm still working on placing the beads, and I am increasingly concerned about the ironing process. How did you get about ironing this thing? It's huge! Did you do it one pegboard at a time or did you do the whole thing at once somehow? Any tips you could offer me would be massively appreciated.

You should never iron directly on the peg boards! It might work for some time for smaller sprites, but over time the boards become warped and cannot be used anymore.
I always use ordinary masking tape, tape it over the sprite, slightly overlapping, then remove the sprite from the board and THEN iron it
