Description
Irrith, an island home away from home. Uncovered a new plant today on my walk around the island. Tucked away in darker portion of the undergrowth, I practically fell on the specimen as my foot snagged a root. A brief tumble down into this little pocket revealed a deep and articulate new ecosystem that I had not seen on my last trek. Then again, giving that I do not visit such places much or often I surmise that it is only likely that such plant would begin to evolve in my absence. I may have created this word through the write, or, as some would argue created a link to this world through the write, but it seems that the structure of the world is changing even all around me. This is concerning.
From past experience I have seen what befalls ill written world, their inherent instabilities, and their inevitable downfall. When I created Irrith, it was an experiment based off of several other worlds I had linked to. But in the end it was just to be a stepping stone to creating Bastion. Now, that world is gone and there is no restoration that will bring it back.
My mind keep wandering here, just as my feet seem to carry me over the island I cannot help but see how much has changed. The deciduous forest I wrote here along with the flora and fauna have gone. The dock where I kept two boats at harbor also gone. Along with the rocky coast line that has now become sand. Yet, when I go back to the Book, those words remain.
Irrith has moved on, and I suppose that I to must do the same. Β

The duality of the conscious and unconscious mind would make a world formed by imagination contain surprises. In the same way that a dream has elements that are familiar and unfamiliar. Such surprised are to be expected. Even when the world is made only by your self. Things will be made by the part of yourself that you hide from your self.Β

Indeed, would I be crazy if I told you that I created this world while slipping between that gray area of asleep and falling asleep?
I began building the island, but as I drifted it sort of began to take it's own direction and I was just a visitor walking on its shore.

This caught my attention because of how much the way you describe this place makes it sound like "The Garden" that I talked about a few years back in a journal entry. I find the parallel very unusual.Β

Devious Journal EntrySecond Life in the GardenΒ
Admission to Heaven is possible only in death. But it is in fact possible to get very close while still living. I am asked at times how it is that I find the will to go on in the face of the trials, tribulations, disasters, and traumas that I have endured in my life. The answer to this is that to the misery and horrors of this world I have found an alternative that is much more agreeable a just as real. More and more I am living my life in a different world that I will name only as βThe Garden of the Three Riversβ. Having discovered by virtue of my intensive studies in to the arcane and more fantastic pursuits of thought and study, that little known craft by which one can find a way into paradise. Like all things worth attaining the discovery of this passage was not easy and as for an explanation I will give no other than if you wish for yourself to follow in the footsteps of the few able make it to that place that is gates of the doorway to

Fascinating... The resemblance is, well surprising. I wonder how many others out there have had similar gardens created.
