He stared up at the gates before him, gripping his phone tightly. His hands shook and he took a deep breath to steady himself, "It's n-nothing, just gonna ask about the job, that's it-it-it...shit." He looked down, sighing as his nerves were getting the best of him. His moved back up to the heavy large gates blocking him from his goal, his eyes taking in the intercom mocking him, daring him to press his finger on its' button and speak.

He gulped, lifting his trembling finger to press that button, facing the intercom head on.

"Hello Renyuki Tsubame here."

He almost jumped hearing that deep, masculine voice, his heart skipping a few beats. He took another long breath, "Hi-Hi. My name is Jayce Tennison. I'm here to a-a-ask about the b-butler position?" He clenched his teeth, hearing the repetition in his broken words.

"Oh nice! I shall open the gates."

He blinked, hearing the cheery melody in that deep voice before taking a few steps back as the large gates opened. "Richie Rich," he murmured to himself; it has been a long time since he has seen gates as fancy and as large as these. He took a long breath, taking slow steps towards the large manor, one had moving up to touch the golden cross pendant of his necklace. As he stepped closer to his destination, his heart began to pulse faster and his fingers twitched. He chuckled bitterly to himself, wondering how he'll screw this up. What kind of mistakes he'll make that will replace that cheer with nothing but disappointment. It probably wouldn't take long at all, with his reputation. He gripped his arm through the thick sleeve of his hoodie; his brow furrowing tightly as he own thoughts took on familiar, cynical voices:

"You idiot."

"Stop st-st-st-stuttering, you retard."

"You're a disgrace. I can't believe you are my brother."

"How can you be so damn pathetic."

"You're a failure."

He froze at that last thought, before realizing too late that he knocked on the door, his fist trembling against the heavy wood as he signed his fate. His hands dropped to his sides, his fingers digging into his palms as beads of sweat dripped down from his forehead, "Wh-what am I doing? I'm just going to fuck up." He looked away from the large doors, slowly turning away-

And what beautiful music it was. His eyes widened as he took in the face of the most handsome man he had ever seen, with eyes that sparkled like emeralds. The man grinned, flipping his hair, "So you must be Jayce! Welcome to my home."

Jayce blinked, feeling his trembling slow, his cheeks flushed before the voices quieted and he gave a small smile, "Th-thank you. It's nice to meet you Mr. Tsubame."

Though Ren is older than him, Jayce often acts more like the practical and mature one, often bringing his lover back down to Earth. Meanwhile, Ren makes Jayce feel like he is worth something and when Jayce is beating himself up or self-sabotaging himself, Ren is there it perk him up and tell Jayce how much he believes in him. Their relationship is passionate and yet calming for the both of them, though they each have a few character flaws to work on (Jayce finds Ren to be a bit over-dramatic and Ren has not been immune to Jayce's temper), however Jayce is more than happy to be with Ren no matter what.

Eva Jones: Eva is like the mother Jayce wished he had, often trying to build him up while trying to protect him too. Though he can find her a bit over protective, he appreciates all that she has done for him and though the lifestyle she gave him was humble, it still was comfortable and he even enjoyed having a full tiny house to share. Eva had helped him feel somewhat worthwhile and Rens' encouragement helps build up on the foundation Eva gave Jayce. Jessica Vargas: Jessica is like a sister to Jayce. Though they bicker a lot, Jayce is pretty close to her and tries to keep in touch. He tried to warn her that something about Tristan seemed off, but he did not expect Tristan to stab her. Gabrielle Douglas-Tennison: The estranged twin sister of Jayce. Jayce reminds her somewhat fondly, but she was still quite cruel to him when they were younger. Her criticism of her twin did him no favors, in fact while she was not a forthright in her admonishment of him, she was the one who called him pathetic and a failure, leading to him finally having a nervous break down and running away. Jayce sometimes worry about her, but is also terrified of her finding him; she is the only of his family that he has positive feelings for and he fears she'll use that against him.

Declan Tennison: Declan is Jayce's older brother and is favored golden boy. This caused a lot of stressed on Jayce's life as everything he did from childhood was negatively compared to Declan's accomplishments. Jaye was a sickly child while Declan was healthy. Any cameras he would tapped into would shut off, or show a different scene altogether. No matter what cheap computer he found or bought, it would be hacked and even short circuit. Nothing he tried would give him any clue.

Until one day he was able to find footage and a location. A little to easily. He had a horrible feeling and tried to warn Jessica and Eva. However, all he could do was stare in horror at the camera as Tristan, someone who was like an older brother to him, stabbed Jessica, someone who like a little sister. Worse off was the calm, serene look Tristan had when he laughed his typical light gentle laugh as Jessica was left bleeding.

Jayce would never forgive him for that.

Morality / Ethics: Jayce has a relatively strong moral compass though he is pratical; when he was living with Eva, he'd often side with Tristan in morality debates. He believes that some flexibility is necessary, especially when it regards the concept of 'greater good'. However, he is very loyal to his loved ones and despises the idea of betrayal. He understands making mistakes and slipping up, but he cannot forgive absolutely betraying bonds, something he especially hates Tristan for.

Mental Illness: Jayce has social anxiety and is very insecure. This causes him to be withdrawn and even somewhat agoraphobic. Sexual Experiences: Jayce is in a very passionate and romantic relationship with Renyuki Tsubame. He was a virgin before working as a butler with Ren, but now is his fiancee and adores him. He is generally submissive and often demures to Rens' experiences and tastes when it comes to the bedroom (he is content in being his fiancee's 'kitten'). He tends to call Ren 'daddy, affectionately or when pining for him (though he'll be very embarassed if anyone notices).

Key Relationships-

Renyuki Tsubame (AStrawberryDream ) : Renyuki Tsubame is a man that Jayce adores as well as looks up to. Though Ren is older than him, Jayce often acts more like the practical and mature one, often bringing his lover back down to Earth. Meanwhile, Ren makes Jayce feel like he is worth something and when Jayce is beating himself up or self-sabotaging himself, Ren is there it perk him up and tell Jayce how much he believes in him. Their relationship is passionate and yet calming for the both of them, though they each have a few character flaws to work on (Jayce finds Ren to be a bit over-dramatic and Ren has not been immune to Jayce's temper), however Jayce is more than happy to be with Ren no matter what.

Eva Jones: Eva is like the mother Jayce wished he had, often trying to build him up while trying to protect him too. Though he can find her a bit over protective, he appreciates all that she has done for him and though the lifestyle she gave him was humble, it still was comfortable and he even enjoyed having a full tiny house to share. Eva had helped him feel somewhat worthwhile and Rens' encouragement helps build up on the foundation Eva gave Jayce. He sometimes gets' irritated with her spacy and dreamy nature, but he is always open to helping her fight crime, often using his hacking skills to help get her information.

Jessica Vargas: Jessica is like a sister to Jayce. Though they bicker a lot, Jayce is pretty close to her and tries to keep in touch. He often likes to poke fun at her, while she playfully wrestles with him, like the family he wished he had. They compliment each other; Jessica being more outgoing and physical, while Jayce is more calm and logical. He tried to warn her that something about Tristan seemed off, but he did not expect Tristan to stab her. He knew Jessica had a crush on Tristan and would try to give her advice, or comfort her like a brother would when it turned out that Tristan was dating, so this particular event stuck with him. Even if Jessica is willing to forget about her near-death experience, Jayce refuses to.

Tristan/Lust: Jayce cannot comprehend what the hell happened to Tristan. He used to look up to him, seeing Trix as an older brother figure. Tristan was one of the people that Jayce felt comfortable enough to joke around with and even not stutter as badly whenever he was around. So when Tristan went missing, Jayce was desperately searching for him along with Eva, querying forums, hacking cameras, anything to get a clue. Thus he felt quite betrayed when his supposed older brother figure ALMOST KILLED JESSICA. This absolutely horrified Jayce and he cannot bring himself to look at Tristan without absolute anger and loathing. He is especially displeased that Trix and his fiancee are friends, however he tries to keep that under wraps, for Rens' sake only.

Gabrielle Douglas-Tennison: The estranged twin sister of Jayce. Jayce reminds her somewhat fondly, but she was still quite cruel to him when they were younger. Her criticism of her twin did him no favors, in fact while she was not a forthright in her admonishment of him, she was the one who called him pathetic and a failure, leading to him finally having a nervous break down and running away. Jayce sometimes worry about her, but is also terrified of her finding him; she is the only of his family that he has positive feelings for and he fears she'll use that against him.

Declan Tennison: Declan is Jayce's older brother and is favored golden boy. This caused a lot of stressed on Jayce's life as everything he did from childhood was negatively compared to Declan's accomplishments. Jaye was a sickly child while Declan was healthy. Jayce was awkward and clumsy while Declan was sturdy and balanced. Even Jayce was considered less intelligent than Declan, even though he had a genius IQ; he just couldn't hold himself up like Declan did. This lead to an acrimonious sibling relationship where Declan belittled and bullied Jayce viciously. Jayce would rather not think about his older brother at all.

Connor and Shannon Tennison: Jayce's parents; rich socialites with heavy political and business ties. Connor cared more for having a picture perfect family to help bolster his political career while Shannon was all to willing to bury herself in the lavish lifestyle. Both wanted kids who were well behaved, charismatic and not a bother. Jayce was none of these things and his parents, behind closed doors of course, considered him the black sheep. Jayce would rather not think about his parents at all either.

Key Childhood Experiences: Jason Tennison was born into an Old Money family in Boston Massachusetts. He is the middle child with his older brother born 5 years earlier and his twin sister being born about 30 minutes later. He was barely raised by his mother, instead he had nannies taking care of him and his sister and both were forced into etiquette classes, music lessons, everything meant for Old Money, Blue Blood, Northwest socialite children. It seemed he was placed in a difficult situation; already his brother was spoiled as an only child and had been raised to be charismatic and somewhat responsible, and his younger sister was the only girl as well as the smallest child, so expectations placed on her were low. Jason however had to be toughened up and everything he did in childhood was compared to his brother and he was found wanting. He learned this at a very young age; he was tested for an IQ under the suspicions that he was mentally lesser only to show he had an genius IQ. He just didn't think like his parents wanted and that test proved to be a curse. His father became even harder on him, and his brother, by then old enough to pick up on this, dog-piled on Jason's failings, to the point that Jason had developed a stutter and almost went mute completely.

Key Teenage Experiences: By the time Jason became a teenager, life had become almost unbearable. Despite his privileged upbringing (something his mother threw at him whenever he would try to vent to her), Jason was barely eating and could barely speak. In school he was consistently failing, only being bailed out by his parents. This caused further strain as he was painting a poor portrait of his family, something his father despised. Nothing he did seemed good enough and he started to self-sabotage, not only as a way to get back at his family but also because he began to believe that he was as stupid as everyone said. He only had his twin sister to confide in them; through their shared childhood, she always played with him and talked to him. But unfortunately, even she began to distance herself from him and his 'whining'. During their private high school orientation, he couldn't even introduce himself to the headmaster, causing his sister to say something that shattered him.

"You're pathetic. I can't believe you're my brother."

Shortly after that, Jason ran away, changing his name, and making himself homeless at the age of 16. He had travelled on his own, terrified of being found or going back home and it was only when he was found by Tristan in an alley across the country that things seemed to get better. Tristan was friendly and brought him to meet Eva and Jessica. Jason, now going by Jayce, didn't talk at all, just being quiet though thankful for the warmth and food. Their life was humble but comfortable and what struck him more was how much of a...family they seemed. There was one time where Eva wanted to take a picture and Jayce was about to stay out of it...only for Tristan to laugh and pull him in, saying "You have to be in this picture! You're my little brother."

His own brother never said that to him. From then own, Jayce began to talk more often and had become more comfortable. Sometimes even losing his stutter. He was still gloomy but he was teaching himself skills, including hacking and logic. Eva encouraged this and while Jessican and Tristan were more of the fighters, Jayce was happy to help by being a support. When Tristan went missing, Jayce did his help to use what he could to try and track him down. He knew about the Dante family and knew Tristan was in trouble, but no matter how he tried, he was blocked every step of the way but a far superior and legendary hacker. Any cameras he would tapped into would shut off, or show a different scene altogether. No matter what cheap computer he found or bought, it would be hacked and even short circuit. Nothing he tried would give him any clue.

Until one day he was able to find footage and a location. A little to easily. He had a horrible feeling and tried to warn Jessica and Eva. However, all he could do was stare in horror at the camera as Tristan, someone who was like an older brother to him, stabbed Jessica, someone who like a little sister. Worse off was the calm, serene look Tristan had when he laughed his typical light gentle laugh as Jessica was left bleeding.

Jayce would never forgive him for that.

Key Adult Experiences: Jayce had a hard time adjusting to life without Tristan; everyone one did. His makeshift family was fractured and much like he did before, Jayce felt like running away. However, Eva would not let him go without support and encouraged him to find his own path, trying to learn from her mistake with Tristan while being terrified for Jayce. With some money and a little bit of research on technology, Jayce made his way to Japan, though hopelessly loss and struggling to make it on his own. It was when he heard about a butler position that he decided to give it a shot. It wasn't a gig he would go for, but it was something and the pay looked good.

Then he meant someone else who could help him break out of his shell; Renyuki Tsubame.
