This is utterly fabulous, the exposure here is dead on, I love the warm color in this, makes the viewer feel like they can just step out into the scene and drift away

cody29 In reply to kkart [2008-07-22 13:47:01 +0000 UTC]

Thx for the detailed comment. I've got to split the exposure for the foreground and the sky. But that's something that should not be new for you

Jellyffs [2008-07-16 15:46:01 +0000 UTC]

Do you know a tutorial explaining how to manipulate one RAW, and develop it with two different exposure in The Gimp? Thanks.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cody29 In reply to Jellyffs [2008-07-17 13:12:38 +0000 UTC]

For blending two different exposures into one pic I use this tutorial (look at the other Gimp Photo Tutorials, they are great). I use this only if I have a "horizontal" blending situation like one exposure for the sky, one exposure for the foreground. If I have a different light situation I use more than one RAW and using a HDR Software explained in my HDR Tutorial here:

Hope this will answer your question. If not... ask me once more

Herrliche Perspektive und schΓΆner Bildaufbau. Die SandtΓΆne des Ufers und der tiefblaue Himmel bilden farblich einen angenehmen Gegensatz. Sehr schΓΆn anzuschauen, das Foto .

Wow! It`s very good picture! Was it HDR or just RAW?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

cody29 In reply to OlegJ [2008-07-03 21:10:49 +0000 UTC]

It was "just" one RAW, but i developed it with 2 different exposures: one for the sky and one for the foreground. Then i pasted it into 2 different layers in gimp and blended it together.
