So here they are! Finally!

This is how I always intended to do the picture. Tuesday I was browsing my photoshop file for work I'd already started that I could finish and submit. So here it is.

I created absolutely everything in this image with the exception of the PS3 menu background. I didn't know how to do the semi-transparent 3D ribbon, so I stole that one from the internet. Copyright Sony, I guess. I added sparkles. I tried to painstakingly recreate the look of the menus from the Wii and Xbox (mostly because I couldn't find any high res images to steal). I hope that the effect is convincing.

About the figures themselves: I tried to capture not only the graphic design associated with the marketing of the consoles, but also the personality. I know that recently the PS3's marketing has become more accessible, but it's always been pretty butch and stand-offish. Too cool for school, as it were. The Wii is, obviously, marketed to families and children with effusive, wholesome commercials and copy. The Xbox... well, I just pictured her as an American cheerleader. I didn't really think that much about her.

Since I originally drew these a year ago, the look of the consoles has changed somewhat, and I tried to update my sailors in small ways to reflect that. The PS3's staff is, of course, the Sixaxis with a the tip of the Move wand in the curve at the top. I put a pink one at the bottom because I thought the blue might not read as the Move controller, but maybe the pink would get people in mind of it.

Sailor Wii's wiimote I changed because it looked uh... wrong, originally. I wanted it to look more like the talismans from Sailor Moon.

I changed the design of Sailor Xbox 360's skirt to reflect the new look of the 360's box, but I kept some of the circle patterns because I like them. I considered making her fuku/skirt black in line with the new default console. I also considered doing the same to Sailor Wii as the look of that console has also changed. In the end I decided that the white is classic and more in line with the Sailor Moon aesthetic, so I kept it.

Other stuff... Sailor PS3 is still my favorite. I think that shows in the attention to detail I put into her staff. I imagine that 360's talisman would be a gun in the shape of a controller. That seems fitting to me.
