i haven't been following the new one (gonna let it accumulate for a while) because of the whole premise (build up to the great war rather than have it as a flashback/prequel like so many versions of transformers).Β
although that same premise is making the new continuity so alienating for a lot of readers (they want less talking and more action).

kinda sad that a lot of settings won't be visited again because g1 is the one that sells the most (at best you'll get characters from other setting to cameo and most likely to make the g1 characters look good).

I do get the reason why they had to reboot. series has been going on for so long and bloated (stand alone side stories and various accompanying mini-series) and they've written themselves into a corner (they just have to end it).

lightbright and sparkstalker are in a blurr's bar, drinking, sparkstalker's dialogue is "no... YOU'RE cuter.". so either beer googles exist in IDW transformers because lightbright called sparkstalker's ALT-mode 'cute'.
