it was said that while Sephiroth and them refer to as "mother" she primarily would sustain a female form, but it was also stated that she had the ability to switch her physical form to become anyone or anything she wanted. So her design could shift in a second 
figured her kids all wear black so I'd stick her in white cause Jenova was known for deception
