This is a sketch I did at the Pittsburgh comicon. Then I was commissioned to color it. It was a good time - I liked doing Lockheed curled up like a kitten best

I like it that you did such a lively interp of two of my fav teen comic book characters from my teen years. It captures their respective personalities perfectly, methinks. And the great thing about Lockheed is that you don't really see him until you have looked at the pic for a few seconds ... so in principle it could be a normal teen girls meeting to discuss the latest whatever. But as with all the classic X-Men stuff things are only normal on the surface ... Love it!

Sadly, they were released in Germany only in the early days and that was before I was able to read... And the later issues werenΒ΄t released at all. ItΒ΄s the same with X-Men. It was released once in the 70Β΄s-80Β΄s (those were the days of the Dark Phoenix-Saga, KittyΒ΄s early years and such), then only sporadically together with Spider-Man special issues. Then it took until the late 90Β΄s to release them again. You can imagine that thereΒ΄s a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge need to catch up.
ItΒ΄s only good luck that our comic store has often some longer story complexes in big paper backs

These two (well, three really) have always ranked among my favourite X-Men characters. This is a great depiction them in a scene so casual that I doubt they'd ever put it into an actual comic.
