Government: The legion has a warcouncil who consists of the highest ranking members of the Legions army, but the supreme commander of the legion is "Legion Supreme Mordecai". He does however listen to other people's ideas and such to find the best course of action.
Biography:
The Interuniversal Legion Of Defense and peacekeeping force is an ancient and powerful army of semi-immortal soldiers who's main purpose is to prevent war between universes and destruction between universes. To do this they train and prepare for just about everything imaginable. And their most deadly advantage is their ability to come back from the grave almost no matter what happens to them. They do not truly consider themselves heroes or villains, but just soldiers who are doing their job no matter the cost.
The legion is not made up by one race, but countless races. All taken from the moment of their deaths by the "Reapers" to fight in the legions large army for a period of at least 1.000 years if not more.(read about it here )
To survive this the legion needs to perform a ritual known as the "march of endless pain" where they carry a fire inside their own bodies to the top of a mountain where they fall into a large black lake known as the lake of resurrection. Later they will emerge, with enhanced physiology and now death cannot harm them.
History:
The legions lore is very long and convoluted. The ultra short version is that some 50.000 years ago a massive conflict destroyed four entire universes. The only surviving race decided to prevent such a large conflict from ever occurring again. By forging a army of soldiers who could match just about every force they encountered and could not be killed permanently. This army known as the "Interuniversal Legion of Defense and Peacekeeping" Or simply "Legion" for short then began to safeguard the many universes. However their army eventually grew stagnant and corrupt which caused a conflict known as the "Legion War" where legion soldiers fraught legion soldiers. It ended in one bloody battle where the regular legion won over the dark legion, but at a heavy price. The legion was shattered and almost leaderless, the only member of the "ancient ones" the species who had originally forged the legion known as the "reaper queen" began to look for a new Leader for the legion and eventually after almost 10.000 years found one known as Mordecai. He became the new "Legion Supreme" and began to rebuild the legion.

When the scourge first invaded the "El'Lion" galaxy they first invaded with a small force to keep the people of the galaxy's people busy while they set up the "Nexus points" large rifts in reality where they can pull soldiers in from their home universe in an almost unlimited supply.
The legion was quick to respond to the Scourge invasion, but they had a massive problem, they where outnumbered quite drastically, around 1 to a few trillion.
Normally in such a situation the legion would have traced where the scourge came from, but in this situation that was for some reason not possible. They are unable to trace the location of the scourge home universe for some reason. This means the legion is unable to defend the universe from the scourge. The legion had no choice but to unify the galaxy's combined army and in that way try and beat back the enemy in that way. This lead to the creation of the Inter Galactic Union(I.G.U)
Army:
The Legion is a rather small army compared to many of the armies they are fighting alongside and against. At the start of the war they had around 50 million soldiers arranged in so called "army groups" They have been growing exponentially since the beginning of the war do to the fact that many soldiers tries to live according to the principals of the legion as a form of insuring their survival of the war.
Here is an overview of the basic structure of legion:
Army-group: 1 million soldiers, ruled by a Army general
Division: 100.000 Soldiers, ruled by a Division General
Battalion: 10.000 Soldiers, ruled by a Colonel
Company: 1.000 Soldiers, Ruled by a Lieutenant
The legions ranking system is more or less the same as that of a regular human army. Some legion army groups however have replaced common names with titles. In the army group known as the "Phoenix Knights" The general has the title "The Phoenix king" instead of army general. Other Soldiers have taken new names after beginning to serve in the legion. An example would be "Admiral Hyperion" who was originally a Swedish man named "Gustaf Amdahl" but he took the name Hyperion after becoming the legions admiral.
Advantages
The legion is overall considered the most powerful single army in the entire conflict. Though they lack the vast numbers of the scourge or the union. They are considered the most powerful soldiers around.
- Technology: The legion has the best technology in the war. They all wear powerful armor that can shrug off many forms of attacks and they have the best weapons overall.
- Strong physiology: Each of the legions soldiers are around 2 meters and 30 centimeters high. This combined with stronger bones and muscles makes them highly strong and imposing on the battlefield.
- Immortal soldiers: Thanks to the march of endless pain, each legion soldier is virtually impossible to kill permanently. Each time one of their soldiers dies their mind is transported back to the legions home world where they are given a new body to continue fighting in. This lack of death also removes the fear of death. This is why the legion is more often than not are sent to do the most suicidal of missions and often takes the worst brunt of the enemies army in order to prevent the union soldiers from dying since they lack the ability to respawn.
The legions main disadvantage is their VERY low numbers, when the war began they had only around 50 million soldiers. This number has been growing steadily throughout the conflict though.
Allies and opposition:
- The intergalactic union: The IGU was forged with the legions help, as a means to prevent the scourge from winning the conflict by outnumbering the legion too heavily. The IGU and the legion now fights side by side throughout the conflict. Though they have helped forging the Union, they are not deeply interested in the Union's politics.
- The Scourge: The scourge are by the Legions standards an invading force that must be dealt with as fast as possible. However the legion has stated that if the union had invaded the scourge's universe, they would have aided the scourge and not the union.
- The Dark Legion: The dark Legion is a part of the legion who betrayed their original principals during the great legion war. And sided with the dark lord, here they gained influence and powers who can be hard to match. Nowadays most of them are dead. Most of them where killed during the legion war, and later a large part of what was left was killed, which included the "Dark Legion supreme" now they are devoid of coherent leadership and most of their strength. As the wast majority of them have no more access to respawn anymore. This combined with regret and lack of purpose have caused them to split up into smaller warbands. They are nowadays being systematically hunted down by the regular legion and other people alike. They now all fight for their own personal reasons, some still think they can rise to great powers, others think that they can be redeemed for their crimes and other just want it all to end. This has caused them to serve everyone and noone. They serve whoever they think can give them what they wish for the most.
Trivia
- Originally the Legion was just a random bunch of side characters created for a story-line known as "TF2 Freaks: Doomsday War"(that you can find a early pic to that here ) but as time went along they where developed into full fledged characters.
- The legion is no longer considered freaks. Or though they sometimes has been seen working with freaks, and certain members of the legion are former freaks. They are no longer considered full fledged freaks, now they are just more regular original characters.
- Mordecai is named after a character from the bible, specifically from the book of Ruth, but the two characters share little similarities.

FINALLY IT IS HERE!!! The LONG awaited profile of the legion. This has taken long enough at this point if you guys ask me, but I am happy with the result. The original profile pic was suppose to be far more complex, but i think that this is enough... For now at least.
