Shay Edwards is the reclusive, cold leader of the Anomalous! Pretty Cure Of Destiny and an internet horror enthusiast.

She has plenty 'a superstitions and she's not very sociable, giving her an air of hostility. She's been Cure Dark for as long as she can remember, fighting the eldritch and pretty much keeping the entire planet (or at least her city) safe single-handedly. She butts heads with the new kid on the block Melissa Hart.
When in her cure form, Shay's personality turns completely around; a separate entity, she has more tolerance for jokes and sure likes to talk, even if her mouth gets sore. She has light powers despite her appearance, and while she is good, her interactions with Cure Hunter are not, if only because Dark can sometimes become physically hostile and attack her fellow cures for no reason at all.
