Description Little did you know, I also do digital art.

This is the creature associated with the Egyptian god of chaos, Set. The creature is said to have a dog-like head with a long nose, large rabbit-like ears, and a forked tail. Some sources say the tail was two snakes. I took some liberty with this and made it more canine-like than some other artists have.

I love to draw, and do so all the time, but this is my first real attempt at drawing and coloring digitally. This was drawn in pencil and scanned in. The colors and shading were done in paint shop pro.

This piece is unfinished. One day he will have a background, I promise!

Related anecdote: I was reading another book about Egypt and Set's creature showed up and I thought of you. My mental image was this drawing. They called him Leroy. That is all.

I have totally read that book too. It might have inspired this image *cough cough*. <3 Rick Riordan.

Have you read Percy Jackson? Do it. Do it right now! Rick Riordan is amazing. I even read the book series The 39 Clues because of him and he only wrote the first one.

The Red Pyramid was great because I was also taking Ancient Egyptian Culture at the same time so I knew all the gods and got all the reference and when the next book comes out I'll be taking Ancient Egyptian Religion and Magic. Very appropriate.

Of course I have read Percy! What do you take me for?! You know the next book is out right? I'm reading it, Throne of Fire, right now actually! It's awesome so far.

OMG You've read Percy!! I thought I was all alone (until I just made Andrea read them too).
Rick Riordan pretty much owns me now (or whatever part hasn't died yet because of Harry Potter ;D)

I finished Throne of Fire a couple weeks ago. I really love the characters. Especially poor, nerdy Carter. When you finish, tell me if you noticed any continuity errors regarding Walt. I feel like I'm the only one who noticed it when it was pretty obvious. Maybe I just had the one defective book.

Duuuuude, this looks awesome! I am seriously jealous of your photoshop skills. And your ability to scan things (stupid college). Bonus points for Ancient Egypt!

Unrelated anecdote: I was reading a book about Egypt and they were at Sakkara and it made me want to play Death at Sakkara. That is all. XDD

Thanks Laura! Yeah scanning saved me because I cannot draw with a mouse. In other news I totally played through Death in Sakkara in one sitting relatively recently.
