Description I tried to draw a swift-fox using a reference, but I just couldn't make the colours blend properly, so he's brown now, and doesn't look much like the photo I was using... There are a number of other flaws going on in there too, so if you have any advice, I'd appreciate it as always.
Good practice anyhow.

There aren't enough swift fox pictures around here, and they're one of my favourites.

Anyway, I've got a swift fox character in mind.

Yes, I feel the same way! I'm trying to find a good ref for my fursona which is to be a swift fox, but there just aren't any good pics.

This is really good though, I especially like his eyes. I think you got the anatomy down pretty good though!

I think it could be more of a tan-beige color. Like sand colored

Yeah, I was trying for that colour, as per the references I was using, but I couldn't find the right mix of colours to make it look good.

I think that foxes are usually more of a brown color than red, though you're right that this is a bit too brown. I think I'd rather have it slightly too brown than much too red, though. Also, the guy above me is right - the eye-circles do make it look a little funny (or maybe they are exaggerated too much).

You said this was a swift drawing anyway, so I forgive you

... and rofl - all this mentioning of "swift" caused "David the Gnome" to pop into my mind - a children's show I haven't thought about in aaaages. I remember hardly anything about it, just happen to recall that "swift" was the fox's name...

I know of "Swift the fox" but I never actually saw David the Gnome...

Anyway, the swift fox is an actual species, which is mostly a sort of yellow red colour, with a lot of gray too.

Something about the dark fur around the eyes makes it look like the eyeballs are bulging out a bit.
