Contary to the title, I'm not back at school just yet, or at least not until Monday due to a sudden case of covid in WA. The situation as of the moment seems to be getting better, thankfully. Silver linings, I suppose.

So, here's another sketch for my school project! Usually I'm much more loose and scribbly with making thumbnails for my art pieces, but I got a bit carried away with this one. The butterflies are arguably still loose - I tend to have difficulty in giving them the same kind of attention as the face. I thought a simple composition - pretty much just a portrait - would be a nice start to a series of paintings. It would serve as an introduction to the 'protagonist' of my series, while still echoing the symbols used throughout. Though, I'll probably exchange the butterflies for moths.

I'm gonna use Harold Lloyd's likeness for my main character, mostly because of his appearance as an everyman, being unremarkably ordinary, yet distinguished. Though, I do wish I had a historical reason.

But that's about it from me, If I vanish for some time, you know that school has finally claimed my free time As always, I appreciate any feedback! Take care
