Someone yet to be broken...The idle thought slipped through my defenses
hardening my heart never seems to work
though I've tried to build a wall
smiles and laughs and hope
are always sidling in
I've read too many
romance novels
to believe
in love
again
cracked lenses and broken frames
the meaning of infamy is forgotten
I've lost the history of us and
it's not coming back without your touch
hurt noises resound in my throat
but I cannot say goodbye just yet
what is it about sad eyes that makes us want to lie?
love
falling
into mystery
what is it about
emotions that makes
us so irrationally act
where silence would be best
anger is making my heart its
stomping ground, forcing fear into
the corners and the edges of my sleeves
this is what we've fallen into, isn't it?
Forgotten mysteries
Forged love letters
Fully grown adolescence
Pretending adulthood
is part of the package
responsibilities make us grow old
did we have to grow up too?
growing apart with growing pains
jagged edges slip off smoothly
I was always the broken one
and you weren't the one who could make me whole

like always I don't think is fair to post a comment saying I like that sad ones you do.......but that poetry looks so pretty.......pretty in the sad way......maybe for be true......or looks like something real for me......
the form of the text increase that idea to not believe in love anymore in the begin.........and in the middle was a smart way to increase either the results of all pain

I don't quite recall the inspiration, but honestly, going by the timeline, I think it may have been inspired by the manga Naruto
