Description ~Bintavivi , you're one of the most beautiful people I know, but I have no idea what you look like. So in this picture my brain seems to have turned you into some sort of.... youthful.... quasi.... Little Red Riding Hood kinda figure. Hope that's okay....

Anyway, I thought you could use a smile, so I drew that dream you had.

Also I dunno whether your hunters were shooting with bows and arrows.... or pickin' things off with like state of the art infrared scopes or anything, but.... eh, I listened to the Das Letzte Einhorn soundtrack like four times while I was drawing this, so.... well.... things just came out all fairytalesque.

I hope your havin' a great day, lady!

Er.... the hunters were just in her dream, they weren't really hers, I guess.... XD *lol* Word fail.

There's a link in the description that goes to the dream she wrote in her journal. It was quite a beautiful dream!

And thanks!

Aw she looks so little compared to the hunters. It makes her seem all the more brave in the dream. And the white doe is so ethereal and dream-like. Excellent job

It's gorgeous . I actually thought the young-one was Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist until I read the description xD.

It must have been a wonderful dream, and this picture helps show it. It's really lovely. And I must either have Tangled Road to El Dorado on the brain, because the guy speaking to her looks like Eugene Tulio, lol.

I'm still jealous about your art/PhotoShop skills. I wish I was this patient .

*LOL* Oh yeah! He does have that little braid! AND the red cloak-thing! XD XD XD *lol* That's awesome.... XD XD XD XD

Heh, yeop, Bintavivi said it was quite a beautiful dream.

Heh, I haven't seen Road to El Dorado in years, so I'd have to go back to it to compare!

And oh, I'm not. Not patient. Just nuts. I get tired of things just like everybody else....

In fact I see another tweak I gotta make.... Two shakes....

*stares at the gorgeous picture and tries to take it all in*

... ... ... ... I'm...speechless...

No one ever did that for me before.

I'm just so, so, so touched. It is so sweet of you! There's no way I can thank you enough. I'd give you a million hugs if I could. Plus, I just woke up and I can't thank you enough for giving me such a beautiful suprise for me to see first thing in the morning. That day begins well, and it's a nice and welcome change.

I love everything about this. The trees, the lighting in the trees, the deer of course (and that marvellous tiny sparkle in her eye), the grass....the hunters (who used guns in my dream, but you know how I think bows and arrows are much cooler anyway) and...*still trying to take in the fact that this is my dream being shown to me all over again*

...myself? The youthful quasi Little Red Riding Hood is funny. Funny because red and green are my favorite colors, and besides, I think my dream could have been a tale for little kids to read and/or listen to, so I don't mind the way your brain turned me into that.

In reality, though...it's been years since I last wore a skirt (plus, in a forest, jeans are just so much safer ), but I do like to wander in the forest with my black cape because it's nice and light and helps me to be harder to notice by animals -I think- so it's nice and funny to see that aspect included in the picture. It's also been years since my hair was tied in a braid. It used to be when I was a child and my hair reached the bottom of my back, but it's much shorter now. Doesn't go past my shoulders, so I usually let it loose.
But my the color of my hair is almost perfect! It's a bit darker, more like strawberry-blonde hair with some copper shades. It got darker in Africa. Don't ask me why.

Yes...fairytalesque and perfect. This goes to my favorites straight away. And if I could, I'd send it to the favorites of my favorites.

Thank you so, so, so, so, SO much. That kind of sweet, genuine gestures mean the world to me.

*bites lip and just grins so hard* Bwaaaa I am just squeeing in my chair here! I am so happy that you are so happy! I'm glad that I could give you a good beginning to your day.

*notices* Oh shoot, I wonder how those bows and quivers are staying suspended.... Okay I gotta give these guys some bandoliers in a minute.... *lol* I keep seeing things and tweaking them and reuploading.... XD XD

But I'm just so happy to give ya a smile.

And that is so funny that you like to wander around in a cape!!!! That's awesome! Hehe, in the picture in my head you just.... had a cape for some reason. LOL! I dunno! (probably 'cause I was feeling lazy or didn't want to guess at your wardrobe otherwise----and I knew with a cape we wouldn't be able to see your hands.... but I'd just imagined them being in front of you, holding a pail of brown paint.... ) And then you tell me you wear a cape when you wander! Zoh my gosh, that is so much awesome. And funny that I seem to have drawn a younger version of you with longer, lighter hair! Haha! I must have been picking up some kinda vibes from you or something....

Oh I am just so happy I know you and that you're my friend. It pleases me to do things that might make my friends happy.

You are just the bestest best best.

Bintavivi In reply to Contraltissimo [2011-04-23 15:53:57 +0000 UTC]

Well, those bandoliers look super nice :herat:

Ha. Yeah, the cape/cloak (I'm not sure what the difference is...maybe the hood? In which case it's a cloak that I have and not a cape) is very comfortable in the forest. I also went to class wearing it once, but that was a bet. And I can understand the decision to hide my hands Especially since my hands are really small. I think I've only met one adult in my whole life who had smaller hands than I. This is why some things are really difficult for me to play on the guitar, because my fingers can only stretch so far...

I am delighted I can count you among my friends too. You're definitely part of the bunch of people I am forever grateful to Deviantart for having gotten to know them. And you are the bestest best best best.

Hehe, thanks!

And oh wow! I learn so many thing about you! Your cape-cloak has a hood, you wore it to class (which is awwwesommmme!), you play the guitarrrrr! Oh man.... so cool.

You are just so beautiful, Bintavivi.

JamLover [2011-04-23 05:15:17 +0000 UTC]

Wow! The trees are gorgeous! The way it gets lighter as it curves around the white deer. SOO PRETTY!
Also I love the texture of the cloak! It's so... fff... I dunno. It's just so cool! I really enjoy how you didn't smudge or blur it, but left it looking rough and painted.

I have a bad habit where I just pick out a few random things to talk about, but not really the piece as a whole! Heheheh

Contraltissimo In reply to JamLover [2011-04-23 05:46:33 +0000 UTC]

Haha! Thanks! I cheated played a lot with the little built-in leaf- and grass-brushes on this one. They were kinda fun!

*lol* And I said to my brother, "What do you think about this picture?"

And he went on saying something about how the deer looked like it was coming through a portal from another dimension or something.... and I told him, no, it's a separate element in the picture. Like from another scene.

And he's like "Like a movie cover?"

And I'm like "Yeah!"

So I'm like "So.... maybe I should have more of a border between the deer and the rest?"

And he's like "Yeah!"

So I made it all yellowy.

XD XD

And glad you like the cloak! I didn't paint very hard with the airbrush on that one.... except near the top, so it was all kinda fading reddish to greenish from top to bottom.... so I dragged down the red color with a tinier brush and.... I kinda liked the effect! I thought it was better than just blocking it in solid and then going back and finding different ways to give it texture.... meh.

It's okay; I have a bad habit too: LONG-WINDEDNESS!

JamLover In reply to Contraltissimo [2011-04-29 04:35:09 +0000 UTC]

Psh, EVERYONE uses those or even makes their own grass brush! Can you imagine drawing every piece! Uggh!

Coming from a portal? It probably just escaped from Aperture Science! EL OH EL
But I like how the result of that entire conversation was to make it all yellowy XD

Well it looks awesome! I've been having a lot of problems with my tablet's pressure sensitivity and the brush options, so I haven't been painting in photoshop much recently. I need to get back into it so I can't paint like that!!

My bad habit? PROCRASTINATION! It took me SIX DAYS to comment this! GAAHH I'M SO BAD.
