Description Sometimes I feel like I've forgotten how to draw.
Or maybe I never learned how in the first place.
But this seemed to come out okay.
Maybe that's how I draw.
Huh.

It feels like a very still and empty place; I definitely get a sense of peace and restfulness from it! Even the way the tree branches stretch out to the side feels languid. The darker colors and blurred background also give it a sense of being old and quiet and frozen in time. I like how the vibrant sunlight standing out on the leaves and the flurry of hurried dashes they're drawn with makes them look lively and alive in comparison with the other sleepy objects.

Drawing without glasses is a really interesting exercise haha, for me primarily in the challenge of trying to accurately represent what it looks like all blurred like that! It's nice to feel like it's possible to capture the world as it is to us instead of what it's "supposed" to be.

Wow, thank you so much! ;u; It is a nice little solace-spot, and very very quiet. Good place for listening to the hummingbirds singing across the street. I've found a lot of calmness there.

And yes! There's something actually.... just kind of liberating about it.... when you don't get bogged down into the fine detailing and you just.... draw what you feel.

This is wonderful! I really like it! And honestly though, have any of us really learned how to draw? It looks great!

Thank you. ;u; I purposefully left my glasses off for this one and just.... went from memory. It's our courtyard where I like to stand when I need to reset. It's just.... a little solace for me.

Hah, and that is true; I guess every artist undertakes his own personal journey as he grows.... I'm glad you said that.

Lovely work I get like that sometimes, and then I turn out something that makes me go "yep, still got it [however I attained 'it' in the first place]".

Thank you.

It's weird, right? I mean, I guess it's all relative, but sometimes it just feels like there are always so many artists "above" you who can just crank out these things that are so amazing and then in their comments they're all like ....

Speed paint.

And then you go back to what you're working on where you don't even know what you're doing, or it's just one huge, huge struggle to make it through.... and sure maybe your end result is great, even pleasing.... but....

Sometimes the struggle to get there is just so hard.
