Description
Here is a picture that I did of the four most iconic video game heroes of all time - Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog, Mega Man, and Pac-Man. I was in the mood draw something completely different that was on my mind not too long ago, which I decided to draw shortly after completing my Christmas-themed artwork for this year, and I was also in the mood for drawing such a picture after being able to play "Super Smash Bros." on my Nintendo 2DS. For this picture I've done, I was able to draw all four video game characters in cool poses that were also in my mind, and I also tried to make them look as cool and appealing as they've always been. Anyway, here is a description for the characters that are featured in the picture I've done as well as my thoughts and opinions for each one:

Mario - Originally known as 'Jumpman' when he made his debut in "Donkey Kong", Mario is a heroic plumber who is always able to save the day using his amazing jumping skills and an assortment of power-ups that give him unique abilities such as the Super Mushroom and Fire Flower. Mario was one of the very first video game characters that I fondly remembered while playing "Super Mario Bros." on the NES when I was a kid, and he's always been one of my favorite video game heroes that I still enjoy to this day. Many of the video games that Mario had appeared in over the years are usually very popular among players because of their gameplay that Nintendo is famed for, and I also try to play any of the newer games whenever they come out.

Sonic The Hedgehog - Known to die-hard fans as the 'Blue Blur', Sonic is a fast blue hedgehog who saves the day using his blazing-fast speed and a little help from his friends, which include a two-tailed fox named 'Tails' (real name Miles Prower). As you can probably tell, Sonic happens to be my most favorite video game hero that like so very much because of his unique personality that makes him quite appealing; He's an adventurous guy who usually prefers to do things on his own, but he's always able to help anyone in need, and I'm pretty much like that in real life despite my shyness. I was able to play "Sonic The Hedgehog" on the Sega Genesis when I was in first grade, which I found it to be such an awesome game that I loved playing just as much as "Super Mario Bros.", and I would also enjoy playing just about every other game that Sonic would appear in afterwards. Even though there have been a few bad video games to come out over the years (most notably "Sonic The Hedgehog 2006"), most of the other games in the series have always been quite enjoyable, and I often find myself trying to buy any of the new Sonic games to come out as well.

Mega Man - Even though he's actually called 'Rockman' in Japan, Mega Man is a humanoid robot who is able to save the world using his ability to obtain the weapons of certain robots that he fights in battle with his trademark arm cannon. Mega Man was a character that remembered seeing in the Saturday morning cartoon series "Captain N: The Game Master" when I was a kid, and the very first game in the series I've ever played was "Mega Man III" on the NES, which I still enjoy playing to this day. Other the years, there have been many different versions of Mega Man to appear in the games that have come out (including "Mega Man X" and "Mega Man Legends"), but I've always enjoyed playing the games involving the classic version of the Blue Bomber even more because of the gameplay being quite enjoyable and challenging.

Pac-Man - Perhaps considered one of the oldest video game heroes of all time, Pac-Man is a ravenous yellow circle with a mouth who is able to clear mazes filled with edible dots and fruits while avoiding the Ghosts (Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde) who are always out to get him unless he's able to grab a Power Pellet that allows him to eat the Ghosts. Pac-Man is a rather unique character that I also remember as a kid, and the first video game I've ever played was "Pac-Man" on the Atari Video Computer System, but it turned out to be completely different from the original arcade game, which I was able to play various ports of later in my life. Despite how simple of a video game character that Pac-Man is, I often find myself playing many of the video games that he was able to appear in over the years; Whether they're puzzle games like "Pac-Attack" or even platformer games like "Pac-Man World", I'm able to find the games to be quite enjoyable for one reason or another.

Needless to say, all four video game characters featured in this picture I've done have always been very appealing to gamers such as myself, and they are also quite recognizable to anyone who was able to grow up playing video games over the years. As I was coloring the picture in, I was able to use an orange texture for the background that is done in a kind of dynamic style. The picture turned out really nice after being completed, and it is sure to please my friends and everyone else as well.
