HISTORY: Koga is a child of war. Found as a baby by the old ninja Fuji Boshizu during war times. Koga was raised in Konoha and came to believe Fuji was his grandfather. Koga initially grew up a relatively normal child, but it wasn't until a day in his youth that he got into a bit more trouble with the ninja in the village. Jounin were deployed to get him and bring him back to the Hokage to be punished, but like any youth, getting caught wasn't exactly what he thought would be a good idea. He was able to escape his pursuers using pure speed that was unnatural for such a young boy not associated with ninja. Fuji had witnessed Koga's daring escape and decided that Koga had the talent to be a great ninja. Fuji requested to the Hokage to drop the punishment on Koga so that he could join the academy. The Hokage had great respect for Fuji because he had been one of the first Hokage's personal advisers, and so happily agreed. Koga was a little older then the average kids starting at the academy, but that didn't stop him from making friends and becoming quite popular among the people who knew him. He was somewhat of a goof in school and didn't pay attention as much as he should, which was a surprise to his teachers as he picked up on using techniques quicker and more accurately then his fellow classmates. He was never very smart, but he made up for that by being a rather inventive thinker and being able to pick up on any situation rather quickly. During his time in the academy he was frequently visited by the Hokage who was checking on his skills and soon the Hokage became a sort of mentor to Koga. He was one of nine class members who actually graduated from the class before the rest of the class at the age of eleven. They were considered the three prodigy teams because of their high skills being paired up together. Koga was paired up with a couple of unlikely graduates...Ami Hitaka, a young girl with a rather shy, withdrawn personality, and Itachi Uchiha, the prodigal son of Uchiha and a genius in his own right. They were Team Three and considered the best of the graduates. At first they weren't exactly friends, but they quickly came to rely on each other and trust one another like siblings. Koga was a promising young ninja and advanced to the rank of Chunin by the time he was 13. Within the next couple of years his whole life was turned upside-down by discovering the uprising within the Uchiha ranks. It was Koga's discovery of the revolt in the Uchiha that gave rise to them being spied on by the Hokage's Special Forces. During the busy two years following, Koga's grandfather, Fuji died at the old age of 103 and shortly after Team Three's sensei, Yuki Awakaski died on a mission and Koga was then promoted to Jounin making him the youngest promoted Jounin since Kakashi Hitake. Koga was the new leader of his team, but it was short lived when he was given the opportunity to take part in a solo mission that would take him across the world and mainly over on the old continent where ninja are said to have originated. Koga didn't know what to do and was torn between being the leader for his team or gaining experience from the world and other cultures. His team went on a final mission before he made his decision and they went up against ninja unlike anything the village had ever known...they made the first encounter with a group that would later be known at the Akatsuki. Their mission was a success, but their battles against one, unknown Uchiha didn't end so well and so they were forced to hold action and return to the village. Koga was encouraged by his best friends to pursue the mission around the world and he finally saw his way to agreeing to it. A week later he was about to go, but not before telling Itachi to look after Ami while he was away and not to do anything to rash before he got back. Koga left and traveled the world for nearly six years and gained a massive amount of experience from all types of peoples and places. In his travels Koga met an interesting man who helped him defeat a group of hostile enemies. The man was Izanagi Takeshiro and he was the prince of the oldest ninja clan in the world. Koga and Izanagi became very close friends and traveled together for a few years before Izanagi finally gained some information on his missing fiancé being on the newer continent. They parted ways and Izanagi found himself in Koga's home of Konoha as a foreign ninja offering his service. Koga traveled for another year before he finally found himself on his own doorstep. He returned in great dismay to find that his friend Ami was totally missing and Itachi had completely gone mad and killed his own people and joined the Akatsuki. He also had a sunken heart as his old mentor, the third Hokage had died and to top it all off, everyone thought he was either dead or missing. Koga went to the memorial statue to find that his name had indeed been put onto it which he then proceeded to carve off until he was stopped by a member on Anbu who he quickly found out was his friend Ami. A tearful, yet happy reunion was had by both, but there were too many questions unanswered. Koga had Ami removed from the Anbu via request to Tsunade which was quickly allowed, but he then began to demand a mission to go out and get Itachi, but was met with a negative response so he demanded answers about the incident with the Uchiha which Tsunade wasn't privileged to give out, but she could sympathize with Koga. She divulged that Itachi had not gone mad and was mearly doing a mission to end the strife that was being created by the Uchiha and the Akatsuki. Koga's reaction was that of tears and hurt as he began to understand that it was his first glimpse into these matters and reporting it to the Third that put Itachi in this position. It was his fault. He wanted to help his best friend, but was saddened even more that his best friend's own little brother Sasuke was out to murder him. Koga requested that he be placed on a mission to stop the rouge ninja, Sasuke, but was quickly denied the request as the ninja Naruto Uzumaki was on that mission already. Koga then requested to go out and find out whatever he could about the Akatsuki which he was granted. Izanagi was glad to be back in the company of his good friend Koga on a mission for answers. Koga, Ami and Izanagi left and ran into members of the Akatsuki, Onizuka and Shinzu and tried to get as much info as possible out of them and they learned small amounts of the Akatsuki's plans and who their leader is. They returned to Konoha with the information and Koga was quick to demand he was put in charge of a strike force to go against the Akatsuki and take them out as soon as possible, which Tsunade denied because she knew why Koga was doing things in such a hasty manner and she couldn't allow it as she needed all the man-power she could get. Tsunade then proceeded to tell Koga that Sasuke had killed Itachi which sent Koga over the edge. Koga went into solitude for a week and nobody saw his once the whole time until he finally returned to Tsunade with old ninja testament stating that certain war conditions made Jounin eligible to challenge for a place as a Hokage so long as they could beat the present Hokage proving superior skill and knowledge. Koga made the challenge and she accepted. They waged a fierce battle, but Koga was far more superior then anyone gave him credit for. He was about to come out victorious when the fight was interrupted by the Hokage's council and Koga was out rightly denied having the mantle of Hokage despite a victory in the battle. The angry Koga took Ami and Izanagi and left the village officially making them rouge ninja. No longer allies of Konoha, but not its enemies either they went out into the world to change the tide of the battle with the Akatsuki.
