AWWW this is like my kinda style... i go for a balance of realism and kinda manga type drawings, but at the same time i take in inspiration and try techniques that i see in different places. 1 of the hardest things is the nose which usually tells out far the picture is in terms of realism. This is good ^_^ <3
I would end up drawing portraits myself but 1. too much shading and its too time consuming, and 2. i love LOVE anime eyes way too much. It allows so many designs and creative ideas to take place in a picture.

Wow a rare moment of clarity for Matt, oddly both the relatively calm and outright insane personalities fit him.
I love this expression, he could be calm, slightly sadistic, or even sympathetic. I like how anybody could make their own choices as to what he's really saying/feeling.
Even for just messing around on sai this already shows a lot of improvement. Especially the colouring, it's so smooth, and that goes well with the less harsh lines as well.
