Okay, this should be my last ref for a bit, I promise. 8| XDDD;
At some point last year I altered the design of Sy's main animal form, some, aaaaaaaand...well, I keep end up asking for him in sketch exchanges and such, but I haven't had any decent images to use as references yet. >_>; Sooo. Shame on me. But now anyone can draw him proper now!
Can you tell I ran out of room for the wings in my sketchbook! Yeeeaaah!!!
His wings are a lot wider now, the feathers blend into his legs and part of his tail, and styyyylistically, I decided to make them square-ended feathers, with the option of drawing them all melded together (like here), or being able to pick out individual ones. ~If you prefer to draw feathers more realistically shaped, then go for it. XDD I also added a bunch of blue onto his back and sides...most noticeably the boxy pattern. *really likes that*
Most of the other information is already on the sheet. 8U
There IS a note on there about shapeshifters...obviously this applies only to this/my particular species. XDDD; There are many different versions out there.
One more thing!! I commonly refer to this as his "tiger form" when I am well aware that the body type/head shape/etc etc etc is not even close to a tiger. He is, in fact, some kind of composite/chimeric animal, but because of the coloration, it's easier to just call him a 'tiger'. Just FYI!! XDD;;

The blue accross his sides and back is a great addition. And I love how the stripes form a little "box" of blue. And his huge fluffy tail makes me happy. I looks as though it would be extremely fun to glomp. Also, I just want to say that I love the way you draw animals. Especially the paws (the gorgeous paws which I am exceedingly jealous of) and the faces. You have the awesome ability to bring so much expression to your faces, both animal and human alike.
Oh yes, I must not forget to mention that his big blue wings are gorgeous.

Thank you! I;m really happy with this design. The boxes and their gradating blue colors came about totally by accident - I was just playing with pulling the stripes down and thought they looked kind of boxlike, and the blue because I did a test color on paper, accidentally colored it all orange, then went, whoops! and just colored blue on top, which made it darker. >_> */ramble* ANYWAY. Thanks. <33 I wish I had brought more expression to him here, but. Ah well. <333

The design is awesome! It seems to fit Sy really well. Ha, that's a great story about how the box came to be blue! Happy accidents are one of my favorite things about art. xD

Aw man, I've actually wanted to see a full pic of his tiger form redesign since you mentioned the differences. ;o; I LOVE IT. The blue boxes, unf, they really work well with his design. And I love what you did with his wings.
Also, your animal anatomy never ceases to amaze me, seriously. His feet, his head, the fluffy fur weight all over his body, the natural-looking markings, ffff seriously.

The wing idea is lovely ;3; You are so amazing at animals -petpetenvy- I really think my favorite part of this are his paws and all the little details you do to them.
I also really really like his muzzle. Muzzles are the things I always had trouble drawing but your's are always really nice

I actually had a lot of trouble with the paws. XDDD I got down to drawing them, and then that part of my brain just...died. XDD Same with his muzzle...>_> But they still came out nice, I think..!

I still envy your ability to draw animals. |: Sy looks great here, and I've probably said it before but I love the addition of the blue on his back. <33 The box pattern is pretty neat on its own, but the blue adds extra punch to it.
And... I really like the idea of the wings that go from shoulder to tail. That's gotta be a /huge/ wingspan. <3

That's true- felines in general with wings are pretty common almost everywhere. I think you did a good job making him more distinctive. xD
