This was a request made a while ago by . She wanted me to draw her character Pyro in this certain pose and outfit, which was from another drawing by an artist whose name I don't know...>.<The original artist did an amazing job on the drawing and colouring, so it was hard to even get this close to it. I suck when it comes to choosing colours, so the colours I used are a lot brighter than the other picture's.
This picture, surprisingly, only took me about 80 minutes to draw, which is like a miracle for me. Plus, the inking came out a lot better than normal. But then the colouring...Ugh, I spent days colouring this, bit by bit, but it's finally done (thankfully).

Natalie... Your artwork is gorgeous and amazing. I've seen your photrealism at school and you are so talented with charcoal. I would love to see you put some of it up here because I just love it so much. This piece is really lovely and combines realism with a unique cartoon style that is all your own. The coloring is beautiful and realistic.
I would also like to point out that the law states that an image needs to be altered I believe 90% for it to be conisdered your own. People sit in that position.. you didn't plagarize anything because you made it your own. Plus you didn't take credit for it. but this has pretty much already been said.
So.. this really go out of hand lol. But from a fresh viewpoint of a person who hasn't been involved in this brawl, i think that both sides went a little crazy. But honestly, I think that the critique starting all of this was a little harsh and that maybe it could have worded a little bit more kindly.
Kiaki--chan can definately handle critique. She is a strong and confident artist who I admire. :-3

Considering you asked for Advanced Critique I'm gonna critique it.
Anatomy: I'm sorry but this is really bad anatomy wise. Hands are drawn incorrectly and the head is lopsided, also her vagina is too low if you can't see it through that hole in the weird underwear. Her arms appears too short and the pose is clumbsy and unnatural.
Colouring: The skin tones used are nice, but the rest of the colouring is a mess, I can't even make a wild guess what her clothes are made out off, appart form the magical dodge and burn leather top
Background: none
Overall: Artist needs to work on their anatomy and put more time into the colouring, and a background or objects for the character to interact with would be a nice thing for the artist to try.

Have you even seen the original? 'Cuz it's based off that, y'know. Hence why it's so crazy and strange in places.

Highlight and darken is the same as the dodge and burn when it comes down to the cheapness of the tool, try using your own colours to shade.

Oh, trust me, I do. I just wasn't sure exactly how to get a similar effect to the original. If you look at my other pictures you'll see that. And the highlight/darken is the same, except the h/d is a less dramatic effect.
And I'm just pretty much trying to keep this argument going. We had a pretty good thing and now it seems like it's dying down a bit.

If you wanted this sort of drama you should of lashed out at someone on your own, getting your friend to do it is not cool, it just makes you look like a wimp. The general public will nearly always side with the person you're starting a fight with if you are the one who is going as a group agaisnt one person, with no reason other than you didn't like what they said about your artwork.
