It is only a spoiler and a detailed story about them will coming soon! ~
The glittery things are crystalized tears. the ones sitting on the tear collector are guardian angels, who died before in their earth-life and were chosen to be a guardian because they had a strong will to protect someone / something when they died, or they committed a grave misdeed that needed atonement.
They are then given a charge to follow through their charges lifetime. Their goal is reincarnation which can be achieved through collecting tears (any emotion) from their charger/s while watching over them and fill their collector up to 100%.

Inspiration for the moon comes from Rittik-Designs
