Description YAY COLORS <3

Finally, the finished version of Hera Valroma, my Combat Pragmatist Affably Evil Hired Gun and Doting Parent (Aegis sees her more as an Evil Matriarch, but she's not quite that bad.)

(...why yes. Yes, I did just reference five TVTropes pages in one go...)

Name: Hera Valroma
Age: 54
Occupation: "Freelance" mercenary
Family: Mother (deceased,) father (deceased,) half-brother (name and location unknown,) daughter (Aegis Valroma, age 21)
Markings: Custom
Personality: Pleasant and well-mannered, but often with an undertone of arrogance; loyal, bluntly honest, and ruthless when the situation calls for it.
Biotics: Lift, Throw, (some skill with) Barrier
Weapon: (Current) M-15 Vindicator Battle Rifle - lovingly dubbed "Nemesis"
Armor: Medium Colossus armor (custom)

Dislikes: Humans, krogan, geth, the military, politics and politicians
Likes: Her daughter, money, her ship, more money, and her rifle (in that order)

History: Not much is known of her early life, other than that she was born in 2131 to military parents on an outpost at the edge of Hierarchy space, and enlisted in the military herself at 15. At 17, she was assigned to a Cabal, based on her biotic ability, and served there for the next ten years, despite her growing frustrations with how the military handled situations.

Hera left the turian military in 2158, in order to form a mercenary partnership with one Theron Kallidas; this partnership gradually turned romantic, and six years later, the pair had a daughter, Aegis. In 2170, while Hera was sidelined with a serious injury, Theron and his mercenary unit were sold out to Cerberus by two traitors. Captured, they were taken to a small research outpost where they were, for all intents and purposes, tortured to death and dissected for study. It was one full year before the truth behind his disappearance was revealed, via several hours' worth of stolen security footage, anonymously delivered to the Hyperion itself.

One month later, after a coordinated surgical strike, the outpost was all but destroyed, and the majority of its staff were slaughtered. Of those killed, the ones directly involved in Theron's death had been dispatched most gruesomely.

After the strike, Hera personally disbanded the remains of her mercenary group, taking the Hyperion and carving out a niche for herself as a solo mercenary, while raising her daughter as best she could. Their lifestyle took its toll on both of them, slowly driving mother and child apart until Aegis left at age 17.

Presently, she maintains a handful of lucrative "business contracts" that provide the bulk of her income, and a distant relationship with her daughter.

Turians are (c) to BioWare
Hera, however, belongs to me
