Description
In order to give a kick to my artistic practice and drag myself out of a rut, I decided to send something to the Project: Rooftop blog ([link] ); a redesign on the costume of one of my favorite DC characters: Raven (from the Teen Titans).I don't know if it will be accepted and uploaded, so I'm putting it here. The idea was to keep her sense of sobriety, giving nods to practicality, elegance and a bit of gothness that's always been part of her personality, even if she basically fights in a night dress and a fantasy cloak.

Para darle un empujón a mi práctica artística y salir de un mal ánimo en el que ando, quise mandar algo al blog de Project: Rooftop ([link] ); un rediseño del disfraz de una de mis personajes favoritas de DC: Raven (de los Jóvenes Titanes).
No se si lo vayan a aceptar y publicar, así que lo pongo aquí. La idea era mantener su sentido de sobriedad, con detalles de practicalidad, elegancia y algo de derketa que siempre la ha caracterizado, a pesar de que en el comic pelea en un vestido de noche y en una capa tipo fantasía.

Oh, boy, I hate the new Raven; I stopped reading most of the New 52 titles after the first few issues but still picked up her first reappearance and... ugh.... just.... ugh.

Seriously, there are so many fan designs here on DA that are just so much better...
They honestly should have just done something like a 'vote for your favorite' or something... *sigh*

Do you mind if I cosplay this? I'm not comfortable with her gown and swimsuit type of costumes, and I'd like to get your permission on cosplaying your redesign of her.

A bit more modest and practical than her usual were, but fits her image. Nice.

I like it, although the clasp at her throat and the one on her belt make her look kinda like a member of the X-Men.

Many artists and writers have forgotten than, when she was introduced, Raven was described as a lovely maiden

I've always loved the cloak and leotard look, but this pretty great too.

The leotard look of the cartoon is actually more practical than her slitted dress. I thought about the novelty of... pants!

Glad someone else is feeling that way. Raven's character has been steering towards her animated version. As much as I really dislike the reboot/relaunch, I hope Raven will evolve or something, though, she's one of the unfortunate characters who got benched.
At least she got Beast Boy, Wally, Donna, etc. there for company... P:

I would like her better as her animated version, a slightly insecure but otherwise strong, sarcastic lady, and not the sad mewling whiner she's been the last couple of issues. All those troubles about her evil nature? She had already resolved them.

I meant the classic version of Raven.
Shy, innocent but I admit, I do love the sarcastic wits of hers in the animated version so put that in the mix.
