+ Adoptive mother Estella: Estella is a harsh mother that follows her own set of rules when it came to raising Judas. While she let the man stand on his own two feet as soon as he signed up for the military she is not above teaching him a lesson or two, even if it’s through a bit of tough love. Judas looks up to her throughout most of his life as a guidance tool and is grateful for all she’s done for him, but not so to the point that he’s inclined to her wishes of seeking a wife after unceremoniously giving him the boot to scoot.

Currently Estella is seeking a beau to call her own and leaves Judas to his own business. She no longer feels the need to enforce her words and lessons upon him and lets him walk completely down his own path while she walks her own. They remain in active contact up to this day. Judas’s relationship with her has drifted over the years and especially drops off when he’s enlisted into the S.T.A.B. unit (This occurs sometime after the tournament) For this Estella has grown somewhat concerned but does not do much to open her mouth, she’s noticed though a distinct switch up, the lad doesn’t go out of his way to make friends as he used to when he was younger. In depth Appearance

Judas is a tall, very athletic man with a moderate muscular build. He maintains a high protein diet and burns off most of his fat through the use of Free Running otherwise known as Parkour. Because of this he’s in firm form and has a high amount of endurance and stamina. The clothing he wears affords him plenty of breathing room but does not serve to get in the way of his various activities; they’re comfortable and easy for him to lounge around in. Notably when either in his uniform or his civilian clothing he enjoys jackets and shirts that are cut off at the shoulders leaving his arms bare most times. Judas normally wears loose fitting pants that on or off the field he tucks into his boots to prevent himself from clipping or catching on various items during his Free Running.

He has a brash spike of sunflower yellow hair that will at most times be comfortably long enough to house his first ever companion Joltik, the electric spider uses his hairline to camouflage itself comfortably and uses his hair as its nest. It usually is not notable until Judas points out the creature or Joltik removes itself from his hairline. His face is long and angular; his sharp features are regal in definition and would state at first glance that Judas has a stoic no-nonsense nature, which in some cases lies true. His overall frame is heroic and strong in design and he has no qualms about putting himself in harm’s way. For this, Judas has numerous scars adorning his façade, from stem to stern there is not a place on his body where you wouldn’t be able to look and find one. Because of this coupled with Judas’s inborn congenital Indifference to pain, his nerves have mostly been fried and unable to perceive in some spots, pain or temperature differences, in others he simply displays an indifference and does not react appropriately to some of the damage he receives. If punched, Judas typically shakes it off and keeps going, unless he’s stricken in a way that causes his breath to leave him. While this lies true, this does not mean that Judas is completely unaware to someone’s touch, he will react to taps and the like and will turn, though he will not register punches as being more than a tap most times. However, this does not mean he’s invulnerable; it just takes a greater degree of pain to put him down then most. He’s still susceptible to some of the normal things that guys are and for this he usually wears a cup under his clothing, because of his active lifestyle he wears it almost daily.

Personality

Judas is an honest individual and won’t hesitate in saying what’s on his mind or his opinion of those around him. While this can lead to him seeming very rude and blunt this is just one fraction of his nature. Judas has always been known to press forward in his life and disregard the past as exactly what it is: History. Anything that serves to drag him down in his life is ignored and goes unacknowledged through words but is recognized within the measure of his actions and how it motivates him to keep aspiring upward. He looks for what life can offer him and constantly seeks the thrills that lie in it. From the volatile and quite dangerous, Judas has never once found himself refusing the call of adventure, no matter how threatening it may be. If he’s not running about keeping active, he’s guaranteed to be getting into some form of trouble, usually with his long time friend Laurala.

Quick to get into a fight, Judas is usually able to roll with the punches and come out with a stupid grin, a beer in hand and a bruised eye. When it comes to mincing words, Judas is flippant and rarely takes offence to anything said, it is very difficult to crawl under the man’s skin and he takes light to most situations. What does garner his irksome is those that wallow in the past and let it stagnate their present and future instead of moving past it and making more out of themselves. He will be forward in pointing out the flaws in a person that he thinks are holding them back without regard to their feelings, but it’s his version of tough love and self betterment ala his mother Estella’s methodology in helping others.

While not quick to make friends, Judas is not against doing so, he just simply doesn’t go out of his way to dedicate all his times and energies into maintaining a friendship that has baggage brought into it—not to say he won’t give his point of view on the problem and help out in his own fashion, he just doesn’t see why people hold on so dearly to drama that’s past already.

Surprisingly, the blonde is more precise and calculating than his casual attitude leads others to believe. Judas believes that being serious is all a matter of timing and need, if there’s no reason for him to buckle down, he does not do so. When he’s found in a severe mood, Judas is concise and no monkey business, he will often order others to stay out of his way if he feels them infringing on what he needs to do and becomes rather blunt and somewhat hostile to those that don’t listen to him when he feels it’s essential that they do so. This attitude is rare and only seen when a dangerous situation arises that threatens others or something of equal importance requires him to switch gears.

Judas is also naturally curious about technology about him. He’s usually up to date with the latest and greatest and found tinkering with many contraptions from the simple to the automotive, he does it all.

Around others

Judas is fun seeking and easily bored to tears by those that don’t do anything interesting. If he doesn’t find the company at present interesting or doing anything of worth in his eyes, he’ll quickly invent something new and exciting to do and promptly drag his company clean into it whether they like it or not.

Those that are kind to Judas will find him somewhat polite in return, though Judas finds generally agreeable attitudes to be boring as he’s used to trading friendly jabs with those close to him and will probably engage in some friendly banter. To those that dislike him, he acts casually about and isn’t very easily intimidated by threats; his mindset is that of someone that’s indestructible though aware of his numerous scars and failures.

Romantically

Judas doesn’t see the use in a long term relationship that involves him becoming committed to one sole person. Because of this, Judas maintains open relationships, where he mingles with his date of choice for the evening and often leaves them to their own business as well, seeing an open relationship as a two way street, Judas does not force others into seeing his point of view nor into this nature of relationship with him unless it’s mutual. He rarely gets jealous of others and really sees it as a waste of time and energy better spent going about his own way and giving off a subtle charm to those he’s interested in. He’s known to crack jokes and generally nonchalant about the whole affair. Notably, he does not go after married women or women in relationships unless there is consent with both parties he’s usually respectable of other people’s moral boundaries in that aspect.

Personal History

They were short on money, that much was known, and a new born baby was a insurmountable responsibility for the new parents to carry as their burden. Because of this, Judas was released into adoptive custody and soon given a new life by Estella Fisher; the only evidence of his biological parents having anything to do with Judas was his middle name, Rock.

When able to take his first steps, Judas proved himself a piston; off at the sound of a gun, the boy was constantly active and getting into some form of trouble. The small time banging of pots and pans and escaping over the baby gate had soon translated into school yard fences being climbed and repeat visits to the principal’s office. The boy had little to no guidance at the time and Estella had realized that even in his early age that Judas was always going to have an adventurous, troublesome streak that just could not be stifled by mere discipline. Instead she took the young boy and molded his tendencies into something more productive where he could grow up with a semblance of a normal family life that his parents just could not offer. Estella enrolled Judas in afterschool activities, from track and gymnastics to rocketry and chess club, the young boy lived a very fulfilling and active lifestyle from that day on. Neighbors said that Estella just let the boy run wild when he was otherwise without school activities to do; she said she gave him a purpose. From the menial tasks of running to getting a loaf of bread, Estella had constantly challenged Judas to taking new routes and finding the most expedient and creative way to get there. This sated the boy’s wanderlust and soon he knew Castelia City like the back of his hand.

Running into several scrapes and close calls, Estella decides it was time for Judas to receive his first partner Pokémon, but rather than going out and gifting him one she lets the boy barrow her Sandile and acquire one of his own. In exploring the outskirts of the city, Judas comes home empty handed, at least so he thought during the time. During his shower that night he discovers a Joltik nesting in his hair, how and when it had gotten there was a mystery to him, but he had kept the miniature beast ever since.

Years go by and youth gradually gives unto adulthood, at the age of eighteen Judas signs up for the military and goes through boot camp and remains stationed at Castelia City. He continues to go through schooling and begins to tinker with machines and electrical devices. Leaving home he moves into an apartment on his own, his life rather routine and uneventful as he moves around through freelance jobs and takes up a moderate level of battling with his partner Click, the Joltik. It is during one of his runs through the city that he meets with Laurala, a young individual whom proves to be quite the scrapper and troublemaker. The girl knows nothing more than how to spit the right insults and quip the words that would set off any man’s temper no matter how long the fuse. It was this mouth and her lacking funds from Pokémon battles that she was in a tiff with a local shop keep.

Judas had quite literally removed Laurala from the situation. The girl wasn’t happy and their eventual back and forth somehow led to an obscure unspoken friendship between the two. Laurala was able to stand on her own two feet as well as the next person, the two independents somehow finding commonality in one another for a time explored Castelia City and made it their own. It was shortly thereafter Laurala, without much ceremony departed for other places unknown.

It was a letter from the military and relocation that led Judas to the Johto region. Shortly after settling in, Judas is once more called upon to take place in a tournament called Crystal Championships, not for the reward but under the premise that other more unseemly activities were taking place that drew the attention of the military. Someone or a group of people had been hacking the Pokémon storage system and stealing a number of Pokémon, it was undisclosed what Pokémon were stolen but it had eventually become a matter of regional security. The search had pointed toward one of the participants within Crystal Championships to be the culprit. Upon learning this information, Lev steps down from his spot as judge for the championship and allows Judas to take his place. His purpose however is only known to the judges at the time being. However, it is assured that the sudden switch up during application process would not go unnoticed. It is unknown what this sudden string of hacking will lead up to…

Judas, assuming position as judge discovers shortly thereafter that Laurala is participating in the tournament, because of the incident that caused him to be there in the first place, Judas keeps a close, protective eye on her.

AFTER CRYSTALCHAMPIONSHIPS

Some time later Judas and Laurala head back to Unova, picking up seemingly where they left off. By age twenty-four, Judas is shipped far overseas to fight in a war. Here he gets his first taste of action and manages to make it back to Unova in one piece, by the time he returns he finds himself employed on several more missions, called overseas once more he makes it to the shared Kanto and Johto region, it is here he joins as part of the military force that fights Team Rocket head on.

Heading these missions was field commander Marlene Todd, she was a woman of many talents, but most would call her knightly. She always did what was best for the team and kept them together; those that served under her had high morale and excelled in all they did due to her encouragement. Though the two butt heads on certain subjects, Judas couldn’t help but feel a strong bond of camaraderie with her.

On one fateful mission, Marlene Todd had fallen. They had been ambushed by the Rocket’s strike division, professional killers pinning the unit down in a one sided battle. It had been in short, a massacre. Judas pulled who he could from the fray and escaped utilizing the help of his Pokémon and on hand weapons; though did not do so unscathed, he had been shot, and hadn’t realized the full weight of the bullet that had rung through him until taken back to the hospital.

It was then he was approached with two forms of news, the first of which was something that Judas never confronted, never dealt with again and the second was an opportunity. For his natural resilience and the potential that he displayed in battle he was offered a place in a developing project that was simply referred to as S.T.A.B. the anagram on its own was tantalizing to the young soldier and Judas took up on it without hesitance.

It was at this point that Judas was bestowed a pair of gauntlets that discharged electricity, finding the design poor and inefficient after several training sessions; he takes it and modifies it on his own. The gloves are modified in order to conduct the natural current and charge that electric Pokémon can create within the confined space. In this Judas finds a more efficient and lasting power source, the discharges in which he lobs are highly volatile and create a high volume of damage.

After years of soloing missions and working as a key enforcer with various military battalions Judas’s services are once more called upon in order to join a select group of S.T.A.B. candidates that have been working for the unit for various years either as the best from other groups they had previously been in or for their merit shown in solo missions.

Four months after the events at Helios is when Judas, Solomon, Gemma and Eden are assembled. Chosen as field captain, Judas works with the other members of S.T.A.B. efficiently and with calculation that becomes the man during his work on missions. His nonchalant attitude traded for one of severity and critical measure.

Up to date, the group has been very acclaimed and successful in each mission they’ve taken on.

Click is Judas’s first Pokémon. Due to the dangers that Judas ran into during his runs throughout the city, Estella had practically forced him to go out and capture his own Pokémon. Though not very interested in Pokémon at the time, Judas still did as he was told. After a day of searching, Judas discovered nothing and returned home defeated, during a shower, he quickly finds out that this is not the case. Click, the Joltik, crawls out of his hair and grumpily protests the shower and Judas’s singing within it. From that day on Judas kept the spider.

Click is normally found hibernating within Judas’s hair, and this is where he stays at a constant, It is rare that Judas ever places the Pokémon inside a Pokeball unless it’s required for him to do so. When deigning it appropriate, Click exits his hair to sit on his shoulder or investigate any food that Judas may have at present. Known to be a pig and quite easily annoyed, Click stands almost as a polar opposite to what Judas is like and constantly has a frustrated expression to reflect as such.

When Click senses that his master is in danger, he will act as his guardian and shock others that get near without remorse. Click does not like anyone or anything. Puffi, a Joltik that Judas had bred from Click himself, is the only exception to the rule along with her owner Laurala; the egg that Puffi was in was given to Laurala before the start of the Crystal Championships.

Ratchet (Emolga)

Flavor text:

The youngest and newest edition to the team. Ratchet was given to Judas as a present from Laurala, the egg had soon hatched before the start of the tournament. During one occasion of tinkering with an engine, the Emolga gets into what he’s doing and steals off with a wrench, finding the shiny piece of metal intriguing and entrancing. Finding that she had interest in the item, Judas buys her a novelty sized wrench which she totes around and keeps with her despite it being too heavy for her it was also because of this he named her Ratchet.
Having an attitude that reflects that of Judas’s friend Laurala, Ratchet is bold, outrageous and dangerous. When she is involved in mischief the most likely result is some form of catastrophe, she will even use her wrench in order to maximize destruction and even uses it in battle with some Pokémon though generally Judas prevents her from using the large tool as such as its danger in lugging it around in battle is two sided and also grounds her.

Barrel (Raichu)

Flavor text:

Barrel for the longest time had anger issues from having to compete with his fellow Pikachu family all the way to competing with other electric Pokémon in general. Always striding to become better, Barrel was constantly aggressing toward other Pokémon especially those of his own element in order to prove himself the better. His original trainer giving up on controlling him signs him over to the military, thinking that his spitfire nature could be put to good use.

Repeatedly issued to different handlers, Barrel’s attitude and tendency to shock his owners led to him being put on probation; after a period of time, he’s released into trainer custody once more, specifically Judas’s. While Barrel instinctually distastes his owner and shocks him, he finds Judas’s responses to be lacking to his bites and scratches. Eventually Barrel tires of attacking and becomes curious of Judas, following him throughout his regimens, Barrel becomes fascinated with Judas’s unique by comparison style of traveling and begins to mimic him. Eventually the two begin to bond and Barrel becomes attached to Judas throughout their time together.

Due to spending time with his now permanent owner, Barrel has become a bit more cheerful and content with his life, never feeling as though he’s inadequate since Judas does nothing but encourage him. Albeit so, Barrel’s temper is known to strike up at the worst moments, once in a rage, the rodent is most likely to bolt everything in sight without relent.

Barrel is often seen in the company of Ratchet, the two of them seem to get along fairly well, though Ratchet picks on Barrel and Barrel isn’t exactly graceful about the whole exchange.

Pinion (Rotom)

Flavor text:

During one of Judas’s odd jobs he meets Pinion, the mischievous Rotom went about possessing items within a automotive workshop, going so far as to possesses a car and take it for a joyride. Judas, not wanting to lose money on his commission, tares off after on a motorcycle he had been repairing for his mother’s boyfriend at the time. Long story short, the chase ended in Pinion’s capture and the two have been together ever since.

While loving to do as all Rotom’s do, Pinion is more apt to take over watches or telephone devices. Since Judas owns an Xtransceiver, Pinion takes full advantage of it and possesses the item more often than not. For this, Judas rarely had the Pokémon inside it’s Pokeball as it seems content to surf the net from the device and because of this, Pinion knows a heap load of useless information, mostly from Wikipedia and other popular sites it comes across.

In interacting with other team mates, Pinion tends to just jabber on and on about nothing, quite the talkative poltergeist, Pinion enjoys electronic devices, comic books and nerdome in general.

Crown (Luxray)

Flavor text:

Over the years, all Crown has ever known was war. Making strides along the side of infantry men Crown has always known to be brutal and takes each battle that comes his way as a serious one. He’s relentless and won’t stop until either he collapses from exhaustion or his opponent goes down. After his service was up, he was going to be put into retirement, which in short would have been his release back into the wild; this was something that Crown dreaded. When it came to that time, Crown fled his pen on base and ran into Judas, during the time Judas had been going through his boot camp training. Understanding what Crown desired, Judas overtook ownership of Crown and the Pokémon has been with him ever since.

Upon first meeting Ratchet, crown was unsure what to make of her, but seeing that she constantly had a knack for trouble he took it upon himself to be her caretaker. Whenever Ratchet got into more than she could handle it was not much of a question that Crown would be right behind her. The two do especially well in double battles together. If Ratchet is released into battle, Crown triggers the release on his Pokeball and observes the battle. Ratchet pays the same respect to the older lion and observes his battles though does so with more vigor and sideline chattering to usher the lion on. It is assumed she’s name calling him in order to kick him in gear.

Flavor text:

Before becoming one of Judas’s issued Pokémon, Dentent had regularly acted as one of the live obstacles in a mock up war zone scenario, because of being a Voltorb at the time, Dentent was not as volatile as he is present day with attacking. While Voltorb’s and Electrode’s are known for their explosive nature, Dentent did not specifically enjoy having to explode on command; because of this he’s nervous and constantly on end, his wide range of expressions seem to emanate those that are found on the internet.

Once issued to Judas, Dentent still found himself in the same role, being used at an explosive device in order to clear walls and just cause general hell and chaos for Judas’s enemies. Though having gotten marginally more used to being commanded to explode, Dentent has been known to jump the gun and start the fireworks at the slightest sound, he does so especially when he’s nervous. Easily excitable, Detent is used mostly as a last ditch effort or if something is needing to be demolished.

In relation to other members on the team, Dentent is skittish and off putting, because of this he’s usually left out of group activities, though he does from time to time try to socialize with other Pokémon and with just as many attempts there are just as many counts of his failure.

Random Trivia

+Judas enjoys tinkering with watches and one day thinks of settling down and owning his own clock shop.
+After receiving his shock gloves through S.T.A.B. Judas ends up with electrical burns on his hands, these have since smoothed over, but because of this he prefers to wear gloves.

What does garner his irksome is those that wallow in the past and let it stagnate their present and future instead of moving past it and making more out of themselves. He will be forward in pointing out the flaws in a person that he thinks are holding them back without regard to their feelings, but it’s his version of tough love and self betterment ala his mother Estella’s methodology in helping others.

While not quick to make friends, Judas is not against doing so, he just simply doesn’t go out of his way to dedicate all his times and energies into maintaining a friendship that has baggage brought into it—not to say he won’t give his point of view on the problem and help out in his own fashion, he just doesn’t see why people hold on so dearly to drama that’s past already.

Surprisingly, the blonde is more precise and calculating than his casual attitude leads others to believe. Judas believes that being serious is all a matter of timing and need, if there’s no reason for him to buckle down, he does not do so. When he’s found in a severe mood, Judas is concise and no monkey business, he will often order others to stay out of his way if he feels them infringing on what he needs to do and becomes rather blunt and somewhat hostile to those that don’t listen to him when he feels it’s essential that they do so. This attitude is rare and only seen when a dangerous situation arises that threatens others or something of equal importance requires him to switch gears.

Judas is also naturally curious about technology about him. He’s usually up to date with the latest and greatest and found tinkering with many contraptions from the simple to the automotive, he does it all.

Around others

Judas is fun seeking and easily bored to tears by those that don’t do anything interesting. If he doesn’t find the company at present interesting or doing anything of worth in his eyes, he’ll quickly invent something new and exciting to do and promptly drag his company clean into it whether they like it or not.

Those that are kind to Judas will find him somewhat polite in return, though Judas finds generally agreeable attitudes to be boring as he’s used to trading friendly jabs with those close to him and will probably engage in some friendly banter. To those that dislike him, he acts casually about and isn’t very easily intimidated by threats; his mindset is that of someone that’s indestructible though aware of his numerous scars and failures.

Romantically

Judas doesn’t see the use in a long term relationship that involves him becoming committed to one sole person. Because of this, Judas maintains open relationships, where he mingles with his date of choice for the evening and often leaves them to their own business as well, seeing an open relationship as a two way street, Judas does not force others into seeing his point of view nor into this nature of relationship with him unless it’s mutual. He rarely gets jealous of others and really sees it as a waste of time and energy better spent going about his own way and giving off a subtle charm to those he’s interested in. He’s known to crack jokes and generally nonchalant about the whole affair. Notably, he does not go after married women or women in relationships unless there is consent with both parties he’s usually respectable of other people’s moral boundaries in that aspect.

Personal History

They were short on money, that much was known, and a new born baby was a insurmountable responsibility for the new parents to carry as their burden. Because of this, Judas was released into adoptive custody and soon given a new life by Estella Fisher; the only evidence of his biological parents having anything to do with Judas was his middle name, Rock.

When able to take his first steps, Judas proved himself a piston; off at the sound of a gun, the boy was constantly active and getting into some form of trouble. The small time banging of pots and pans and escaping over the baby gate had soon translated into school yard fences being climbed and repeat visits to the principal’s office. The boy had little to no guidance at the time and Estella had realized that even in his early age that Judas was always going to have an adventurous, troublesome streak that just could not be stifled by mere discipline. Instead she took the young boy and molded his tendencies into something more productive where he could grow up with a semblance of a normal family life that his parents just could not offer. Estella enrolled Judas in afterschool activities, from track and gymnastics to rocketry and chess club, the young boy lived a very fulfilling and active lifestyle from that day on. Neighbors said that Estella just let the boy run wild when he was otherwise without school activities to do; she said she gave him a purpose. From the menial tasks of running to getting a loaf of bread, Estella had constantly challenged Judas to taking new routes and finding the most expedient and creative way to get there. This sated the boy’s wanderlust and soon he knew Castelia City like the back of his hand.

Running into several scrapes and close calls, Estella decides it was time for Judas to receive his first partner Pokémon, but rather than going out and gifting him one she lets the boy barrow her Sandile and acquire one of his own. In exploring the outskirts of the city, Judas comes home empty handed, at least so he thought during the time. During his shower that night he discovers a Joltik nesting in his hair, how and when it had gotten there was a mystery to him, but he had kept the miniature beast ever since.

Years go by and youth gradually gives unto adulthood, at the age of eighteen Judas signs up for the military and goes through boot camp and remains stationed at Castelia City. He continues to go through schooling and begins to tinker with machines and electrical devices. Leaving home he moves into an apartment on his own, his life rather routine and uneventful as he moves around through freelance jobs and takes up a moderate level of battling with his partner Click, the Joltik. It is during one of his runs through the city that he meets with Laurala, a young individual whom proves to be quite the scrapper and troublemaker. The girl knows nothing more than how to spit the right insults and quip the words that would set off any man’s temper no matter how long the fuse. It was this mouth and her lacking funds from Pokémon battles that she was in a tiff with a local shop keep.

Judas had quite literally removed Laurala from the situation. The girl wasn’t happy and their eventual back and forth somehow led to an obscure unspoken friendship between the two. Laurala was able to stand on her own two feet as well as the next person, the two independents somehow finding commonality in one another for a time explored Castelia City and made it their own. It was shortly thereafter Laurala, without much ceremony departed for other places unknown.

It was a letter from the military and relocation that led Judas to the Johto region. Shortly after settling in, Judas is once more called upon to take place in a tournament called Crystal Championships, not for the reward but under the premise that other more unseemly activities were taking place that drew the attention of the military. Someone or a group of people had been hacking the Pokémon storage system and stealing a number of Pokémon, it was undisclosed what Pokémon were stolen but it had eventually become a matter of regional security. The search had pointed toward one of the participants within Crystal Championships to be the culprit. Upon learning this information, Lev steps down from his spot as judge for the championship and allows Judas to take his place. His purpose however is only known to the judges at the time being. However, it is assured that the sudden switch up during application process would not go unnoticed. It is unknown what this sudden string of hacking will lead up to…

Judas, assuming position as judge discovers shortly thereafter that Laurala is participating in the tournament, because of the incident that caused him to be there in the first place, Judas keeps a close, protective eye on her.

AFTER CRYSTALCHAMPIONSHIPS

Some time later Judas and Laurala head back to Unova, picking up seemingly where they left off. By age twenty-four, Judas is shipped far overseas to fight in a war. Here he gets his first taste of action and manages to make it back to Unova in one piece, by the time he returns he finds himself employed on several more missions, called overseas once more he makes it to the shared Kanto and Johto region, it is here he joins as part of the military force that fights Team Rocket head on.

Heading these missions was field commander Marlene Todd, she was a woman of many talents, but most would call her knightly. She always did what was best for the team and kept them together; those that served under her had high morale and excelled in all they did due to her encouragement. Though the two butt heads on certain subjects, Judas couldn’t help but feel a strong bond of camaraderie with her.

On one fateful mission, Marlene Todd had fallen. They had been ambushed by the Rocket’s strike division, professional killers pinning the unit down in a one sided battle. It had been in short, a massacre. Judas pulled who he could from the fray and escaped utilizing the help of his Pokémon and on hand weapons; though did not do so unscathed, he had been shot, and hadn’t realized the full weight of the bullet that had rung through him until taken back to the hospital.

It was then he was approached with two forms of news, the first of which was something that Judas never confronted, never dealt with again and the second was an opportunity. For his natural resilience and the potential that he displayed in battle he was offered a place in a developing project that was simply referred to as S.T.A.B. the anagram on its own was tantalizing to the young soldier and Judas took up on it without hesitance.

It was at this point that Judas was bestowed a pair of gauntlets that discharged electricity, finding the design poor and inefficient after several training sessions; he takes it and modifies it on his own. The gloves are modified in order to conduct the natural current and charge that electric Pokémon can create within the confined space. In this Judas finds a more efficient and lasting power source, the discharges in which he lobs are highly volatile and create a high volume of damage.

After years of soloing missions and working as a key enforcer with various military battalions Judas’s services are once more called upon in order to join a select group of S.T.A.B. candidates that have been working for the unit for various years either as the best from other groups they had previously been in or for their merit shown in solo missions.

Four months after the events at Helios is when Judas, Solomon, Gemma and Eden are assembled. Chosen as field captain, Judas works with the other members of S.T.A.B. efficiently and with calculation that becomes the man during his work on missions. His nonchalant attitude traded for one of severity and critical measure.

Up to date, the group has been very acclaimed and successful in each mission they’ve taken on.

Pokémon

Click (Joltik)

Gender: Male

Flavor text:

Click is Judas’s first Pokémon. Due to the dangers that Judas ran into during his runs throughout the city, Estella had practically forced him to go out and capture his own Pokémon. Though not very interested in Pokémon at the time, Judas still did as he was told. After a day of searching, Judas discovered nothing and returned home defeated, during a shower, he quickly finds out that this is not the case. Click, the Joltik, crawls out of his hair and grumpily protests the shower and Judas’s singing within it. From that day on Judas kept the spider.

Click is normally found hibernating within Judas’s hair, and this is where he stays at a constant, It is rare that Judas ever places the Pokémon inside a Pokeball unless it’s required for him to do so. When deigning it appropriate, Click exits his hair to sit on his shoulder or investigate any food that Judas may have at present. Known to be a pig and quite easily annoyed, Click stands almost as a polar opposite to what Judas is like and constantly has a frustrated expression to reflect as such.

When Click senses that his master is in danger, he will act as his guardian and shock others that get near without remorse. Click does not like anyone or anything. Puffi, a Joltik that Judas had bred from Click himself, is the only exception to the rule along with her owner Laurala; the egg that Puffi was in was given to Laurala before the start of the Crystal Championships.

Ratchet (Emolga)

Flavor text:

The youngest and newest edition to the team. Ratchet was given to Judas as a present from Laurala, the egg had soon hatched before the start of the tournament. During one occasion of tinkering with an engine, the Emolga gets into what he’s doing and steals off with a wrench, finding the shiny piece of metal intriguing and entrancing. Finding that she had interest in the item, Judas buys her a novelty sized wrench which she totes around and keeps with her despite it being too heavy for her it was also because of this he named her Ratchet.
Having an attitude that reflects that of Judas’s friend Laurala, Ratchet is bold, outrageous and dangerous. When she is involved in mischief the most likely result is some form of catastrophe, she will even use her wrench in order to maximize destruction and even uses it in battle with some Pokémon though generally Judas prevents her from using the large tool as such as its danger in lugging it around in battle is two sided and also grounds her.

Barrel (Raichu)

Flavor text:

Barrel for the longest time had anger issues from having to compete with his fellow Pikachu family all the way to competing with other electric Pokémon in general. Always striding to become better, Barrel was constantly aggressing toward other Pokémon especially those of his own element in order to prove himself the better. His original trainer giving up on controlling him signs him over to the military, thinking that his spitfire nature could be put to good use.

Repeatedly issued to different handlers, Barrel’s attitude and tendency to shock his owners led to him being put on probation; after a period of time, he’s released into trainer custody once more, specifically Judas’s. While Barrel instinctually distastes his owner and shocks him, he finds Judas’s responses to be lacking to his bites and scratches. Eventually Barrel tires of attacking and becomes curious of Judas, following him throughout his regimens, Barrel becomes fascinated with Judas’s unique by comparison style of traveling and begins to mimic him. Eventually the two begin to bond and Barrel becomes attached to Judas throughout their time together.

Due to spending time with his now permanent owner, Barrel has become a bit more cheerful and content with his life, never feeling as though he’s inadequate since Judas does nothing but encourage him. Albeit so, Barrel’s temper is known to strike up at the worst moments, once in a rage, the rodent is most likely to bolt everything in sight without relent.

Barrel is often seen in the company of Ratchet, the two of them seem to get along fairly well, though Ratchet picks on Barrel and Barrel isn’t exactly graceful about the whole exchange.

Pinion (Rotom)

Moveset: Toxic, Hex, Signal Beam and Electro Ball

Flavor text:

During one of Judas’s odd jobs he meets Pinion, the mischievous Rotom went about possessing items within a automotive workshop, going so far as to possesses a car and take it for a joyride. Judas, not wanting to lose money on his commission, tares off after on a motorcycle he had been repairing for his mother’s boyfriend at the time. Long story short, the chase ended in Pinion’s capture and the two have been together ever since.

While loving to do as all Rotom’s do, Pinion is more apt to take over watches or telephone devices. Since Judas owns an Xtransceiver, Pinion takes full advantage of it and possesses the item more often than not. For this, Judas rarely had the Pokémon inside it’s Pokeball as it seems content to surf the net from the device and because of this, Pinion knows a heap load of useless information, mostly from Wikipedia and other popular sites it comes across.

In interacting with other team mates, Pinion tends to just jabber on and on about nothing, quite the talkative poltergeist, Pinion enjoys electronic devices, comic books and nerdome in general.

Crown (Luxray)

Flavor text:

Over the years, all Crown has ever known was war. Making strides along the side of infantry men Crown has always known to be brutal and takes each battle that comes his way as a serious one. He’s relentless and won’t stop until either he collapses from exhaustion or his opponent goes down. After his service was up, he was going to be put into retirement, which in short would have been his release back into the wild; this was something that Crown dreaded. When it came to that time, Crown fled his pen on base and ran into Judas, during the time Judas had been going through his boot camp training. Understanding what Crown desired, Judas overtook ownership of Crown and the Pokémon has been with him ever since.

Upon first meeting Ratchet, crown was unsure what to make of her, but seeing that she constantly had a knack for trouble he took it upon himself to be her caretaker. Whenever Ratchet got into more than she could handle it was not much of a question that Crown would be right behind her. The two do especially well in double battles together. If Ratchet is released into battle, Crown triggers the release on his Pokeball and observes the battle. Ratchet pays the same respect to the older lion and observes his battles though does so with more vigor and sideline chattering to usher the lion on. It is assumed she’s name calling him in order to kick him in gear.

Detent (Electrode)

Moveset: Rollout, Explosion, Thunderbolt and Endure

Flavor text:

Before becoming one of Judas’s issued Pokémon, Dentent had regularly acted as one of the live obstacles in a mock up war zone scenario, because of being a Voltorb at the time, Dentent was not as volatile as he is present day with attacking. While Voltorb’s and Electrode’s are known for their explosive nature, Dentent did not specifically enjoy having to explode on command; because of this he’s nervous and constantly on end, his wide range of expressions seem to emanate those that are found on the internet.

Once issued to Judas, Dentent still found himself in the same role, being used at an explosive device in order to clear walls and just cause general hell and chaos for Judas’s enemies. Though having gotten marginally more used to being commanded to explode, Dentent has been known to jump the gun and start the fireworks at the slightest sound, he does so especially when he’s nervous. Easily excitable, Detent is used mostly as a last ditch effort or if something is needing to be demolished.

In relation to other members on the team, Dentent is skittish and off putting, because of this he’s usually left out of group activities, though he does from time to time try to socialize with other Pokémon and with just as many attempts there are just as many counts of his failure.

Random Trivia

+Judas enjoys tinkering with watches and one day thinks of settling down and owning his own clock shop.
+After receiving his shock gloves through S.T.A.B. Judas ends up with electrical burns on his hands, these have since smoothed over, but because of this he prefers to wear gloves.
+Judas has a story for all of his scars, the two most prominent ones are on his face and get told about the most.
+Several of his scars have originated from various excursions with Laurala.
