please enlighten me though, ....wich part reminds you of a shark?I fail to see it 
I see the scales, the really huge, bone fish like scales, that are unlike shark's , dermal denticles "tinny teeth like scales"
I also see the fishtail, but its horizontal, unlike shark's wich is vertical,
and i see tiny fragile transparent fins... wich are also quite different form the shark's bold large pointy fins....
Sharks are also known as fearsome predators, and the look on her face dosent seem very threatening...
so the only shark resemblance i could find was that.. she is underwater...(but thats usually the case for any mermaid, logically) and also maybe that her "fish half" is greyish-blue, like some species of shark..?
so I take it the part that looks like a shark....is the general color? sorry I'm just fairly confused by your comment.. but i'm very glad you like it

O.o; there ar no bubles in the midle of the ocean. at the bottom and at the top maybe.. gaz bubble at the botom and air neer the surface... but not deep at large.... theres jsut water... I would have had to jsut put her on a reef or somehting to justify a background.. and it wasent the goal of the peice.. but ok sure x3
