I really appreciate the sentiment, but how do you measure how successful a project like this? Is it the number of people saved? If so then wouldn't it be better to just sent food? Is it the number of stable communities? If so then shouldn't the goal be to simply relocate people from well-developed countries? Is the goal to make the world a better place? If so how do you know you're saving the right people? I'm very skeptical on the whole charity concept. Not to say that I won't donate my money to charities or pay for a new winter coat for the hobo who lives next to my favorite coffee-shop. So my question is, how would I know my money's being put to good use?

Sorry.. been awhile since I have been on. My success in any project is not measured by numbers alone. It is to bring awareness. Do you know the number one killer of children in Saharan Africa is Malaria? A disease that should have been eradicated a decade ago? And yes, the goal is to make the world a better, safer place. And is there a wrong person to save? How can you quantify someone's value? Who is valuable enough for you to save? You saw it... you thought about it... my project was successful if only to make you think for just a moment. This is only a small part however and only beginning.

A very interesting strategic non-answer. Btw when's your documentary going to be released?

Okay... Plain English. My job is to communicate or inform the general populace that there is a problem. Nearly no one that I speak to realizes for instance that malaria is the largest killer of children in Sub Saharan Africa. So I inform them of this so that THEY can make the decision as to whether they want to perform a charitable act. I ask for no charity. My creation of a documentary IS my charitable act. If you decide you would like to follow suit by whatever means you see fit, that is your decision. I don't want your money. I will want 30 minutes of your time. As for the documentary series... it's still very early in my fundraising efforts. It's a rather large effort that requires a large crew and cooperation with several other organizations. Getting it started has been somewhat difficult.

Hi there! My name is Eliana Costa, and I'm from Portugal - Lisbon.
I'm in a school project named "Del8 - Apaga com os Objectivos do Milenio". (It's a national level project)
I wanted to know, if I can use this image.
In this project, I'm making a video in which I want to illustrate the problems in Africa - GuinΓ©, (some as hiv/aids, children mortality, etc...).
"ad Gentes - Associação Leigos MissionÑrios da Consolata" will be the only owner of the video and the copyrights, that has non-profit.
I hope that you can reply me soon... i'm in a hurry! ^^
Thanks a lot!
