Woah, after (5-6+) years, i finally drew the characters who have lived rent free in my mind..

Friend: He/They
Damien: He/him
Envy: They/them/it they cant decide
Lady Luck: She/her
Cyan: They/them
Gluttony: She/Them
Pride: She/her

Bit of rambling time
Everything in this section is not canon to the characters story, but however, is ramblings on how my character creation process went.

Friend is the oldest character in here, followed by Damien. Friend used to be death, however his placement motives and personality better suited a demon, and eventually it lead into him becoming the demon he is now. Ever since the beginning, He was made to antagonize a human character of mine named Jalf. A constant character trait of his, is that he is always floating and hates to touch the ground.

Damien was created not that long after, his character had always been a demon, son of the devil itself deal, however he was a supervisor over the entities of Death, basically Friends babysitter at the time.

Cyan was made unrelated to the other demons, however, focused on a human character of mine named Larry. Without revealing any motives, Cyan was able to give Larry something he could not obtain. He and Cyan are also made to be antagonistic to Jalf.

As I furthered the plot in my head, I finally came to the conclusion that I wanted to create this community of demons, a colorful rainbow of patrons who represent each of the well known seven sins. I jotted down ideas and made a small list of design elements which i wanted to create.

Of that list came Envy, Who as one would expect, falls envious of everybody else. Unlike every other sin who had chosen how exactly they wanted to look like, envy would be the one to be constantly changing, tearing themselves apart and reforming again and again into different shapes and forms, never looking the same way twice. My biggest inspiration for them was The Thing. I wanted to draw floating hands.

Pride is quite the opposite, once she created her perfect form she would never stray from it. In this design i wanted to amplify her silhouette by using the glow of her "jello hair" as a constant backlight to her form.

Lady Luck is one of my favorite designs out of all of them, with her i wanted to push forward the fact that these demons dont HAVE to be a single color, bringing Yellow into the mix pushes forward that statment all while making me wonder, why yellow? Is she envious? dose she have a connection with them? who knows!

And lastly, Gluttony.. GLUTTONY. I have struggled so very hard to come up with a character for gluttony. For the longest time I didn't know who this character would be. I was even considering using a delightful adopt that I adore, but when I sketched him in, it never seemed to fit. I tried quite a few ideas, head chefs, plain gluttons, a bunch of guys that never fit right to me. It wasn't until today that I got the idea of a motherly figure who would never let you leave her home hungry, like it suddenly struck me! Why was I making GLUTTONS when i should of been making the one who treated gluttons! Her hair bow was meant to be a nod to Cooking Mama, the purple in her design came from Pride, as if she was proud in her work.
