I wasn't sure whether to upload this or notas its hard to make out popuri's face due to her fur
but during the photoshoot this happened for a second
and i was lucky to catch the second
but she went to chew hazel's ear! then she turned away
i dont think she actually bit it as hazel didnt squeak or move
she could have even licked it but like i said it was just for second

Nibbling the ears is when the dominant piggie is letting the submissive piggy know he/she is the dominant. It's just a form of friendly dominance.

i am struggling at the moment
i have just taken these two on from a friend
and my two current pigs well one of them hates them
and is very dominant i dont know what to do with her
id like all 4 to get along but its not looking possible
i keep trying but i dont want any to get hurt

Oh, can you describe whats happening? It could be just domination but at the same time it could be worse and you'll have no chance of bonding the four together.
If their hackles rise, they're teeth chattering and lunging at one another with teeth bore that means they can never be together and you need to stop trying ASAP.
If its just one trying to hump or rumbling, it should be fine and its just one trying to say 'I'm the dominant guinea pig, submit to me'.

lily and pinky are my original 2 and are like sister
popuri and hazel are my new pigs and they get on fine together
i tried to introduce on neutral territory hazel and lily
but lily her fur spikes up she teeth chatters and went to lunge at hazel
i put my hand quickly in the way and got bitten - hard
ive tried again with hazel on my lap and lily and pinky playing on the floor
im sat on the floor too with hazel
lily starts teeth chattering hazel did it back a little
lily snapped at pinky to which pinky chattered her teeth a little
then it kicked off lily went mental and went after pinky!!!!
it was horrible so i quickly threw food down and it settled them
and i took hazel home
but that time they werent ether "together" and it had such a bad effect on lily
and poor pinky had to suffer for it
so its not looking good
ive heard people say "keep trying" but im frightened of them getting hurt
and last thing i want is for all of em to turn on one another
i havent seen any humping they dont get close enough to that

From the sound of the attack, it seems like you'll never be able to put Lily together with hte other 3. Hazel you do have a chance of bonding with the other 2 but that'd mean Popuri would be all alone so its probably best to just keep them in groups of two.
I think Lily will be fine with her sister once you take Hazel away. It really sounds like those two wont get on and its making Lily go into overdrive with dominance.
I really wouldn't try again if I were you. Guinea pigs can badly hurt each other if they want to.

and i did want YOUR advise on this
the way things are going its looking like 2 x pairs
i held popuri to lily and pinky cage door at the weekend
lily came up to her and started straight away chattering her teeth
i lifted popuri away onto me as i didnt want lily to go for pinky
as she was the only piggie in sight!
so i dont want fights so im gonna live them the way it is
its a shame as it would be nice for all four to get along
but i dont mind keeping them seperate
as things havent got so bad that we have to change to clothes
and wash hands before handling the other two
that would be annoying!
lily is the boss shes so dominant
never used to be
popuri once came to stay with us one christmas 2 years ago
and lily was totally fine with her

Yeah we certainly never will. I have to keep mine four seperate. The two on the bottom I have to make sure I feed and handle after the top two as I have a boy/boy pairing and a boy/girl pairing and if the boys caught scent of the girl I'd be in trouble.

he still tried it on with her
she was old enough to be her great great great grandma
but he wasnt arsed haha!

It's a course on small animals or rodents you can take.
Guinea pigs have no specific weight really. As long as they aren't skinny its fine.
Yeah they do. Boars need to be seperated from sows at 3 weeks or 250g, whatever they hit first as they can get mummy and sisters pregnant. They don't care what age or if related.

theyre not bothered
when mine come into season each month
they get frisky and try it on with each other
theyre sisters! they smell each others butt too
they sleep next to each other surely they know how one another smell
guineas make no sense haha

Yeah girls go into season so they get randy.
Usually its the dominant one that goes for the other but during that time the sub will try to top out of frustration.

i couldnt bare for them to go up for re-homing
not knowing what sort of a home they would go to
and so i offered to take them off her hands
that way she knows whereΒ they are, can see videos and photos of them
