Description
Dazzling cold air wrung its mass through the trees, reaching the Ashfur’s holiday destination. Even the frost wasn’t capable of holding the spirit of the visitors back and Crevice shook his body as he squinted over to Rikki who stood at the gate, prepared to get going.
Suki stood beside Rikki, his body covered in layers of clothes as he glared at the door. Waiting for his boyfriend, he turned to Rikki and sighed. This could take a while as Jun probably was crawling up the walls figuring out which outfit to wear in the cold.
It took a good while and Suki got fed up with the cold and about to return to the house but Jun came out.“What the…” Suki’s gaze wandered over Jun and the young Ashfur shook his head. “Is there something wrong? I am still hot you know…” Jun smirked at his short boyfriend as he showed off his jacket. “Just… try to adapt. You look like some random person from Lumpur with no sense what cold means.” groaned Suki and crawled onto Rikki’s back. The prairie adjusted to her master but it was a weird feeling to Rikki. Her master almost never took a ride onto a kukuri’s back and now she had the honor of carrying Suki. Crevice meanwhile got Jun on his back.
The pearl prairie adapted well into the loaf and started to trust ‘broom’ man and Jun figured out that Crevice didn’t pursue a spot inside of Suki's guard training. Crevice had something else in mind and that was supporting Rikki with her work from afar and the best way was to stay by Jun’s side as the drug lord’s kukuri. Jun and Suki were together and the pearl figured out why not? So he could still stay with Rikki and he had a chance to form a bond with Jun.
----
“Babeeee, where are we going?” groaned Jun as he moved back and forth on Crevice’s back. The pearl rook growled at the man. Why did he have to be so impatient, but Rikki soothed the other prairie down. Handlers could be annoying especially one called Jun Constantin. “Shut up, Jun. You will like it, it is my favourite spot in Crocaw.” answered Suki, his voice hoarse due to the cold air.
The four made their way through the wintry forest and the prairies’ feet sank into the snow. The song of the small sparrows followed the group and it made the cold more bearable. Rikki’s senses told her to stop and look for her mate and Crevice was close behind her, wondering if Rikki knew where they were going or if Suki just led them. Nevertheless the pearl rook got excited and trusted in both of them while enduring Jun’s extensive shuffling on his back.
----
Suki led the group to a cave entrance and waited patiently on Rikki’s back for the other two. Crevice eyed the dark entrance curiously with a tilted head. The rook grew up in this area but this cave was unfamiliar even to him as it was hidden behind rocks and trees.
“Watch your step Vice. It is slippery.” chuckled Suki as he commanded Rikki forwards who slowly started to move into the icy cave. Crevice followed blindly with Jun on his back. “This is getting interesting…” said the drug lord with a smug grin on his face.
The cave went deep down and the chill air travelled alongside the group.“You look pretty heated back there.” said Suki and smirked at his boyfriend who just rolled his eyes. “Shut up. You just like how hot I am.” the other pouted and brushed his hand through Crevice’s ruffle. The pearl prairie enjoyed the touch, something he never knew was so calming, coming from the wild. Rikki eyed the two and nodded to herself, happy that all worked out so well and Suki stopped her suddenly in front of a frozen mirror like structure.
“We arrived.” said Suki calm as ever. Crevice and Jun’s eyes widened as they glanced at the mirror which held a creature inside. Just like insects preserved in amber there was a large aquatic being frozen inside the icy cage. As if it was still living, the creature looked like for the sun to melt the ice and awaken it from its slumber.
“Mmm, I thought it would be more romantic than seeing a fish trapped in ice. But I have to say this is impressive.” Jun slid down off Crevice’s back and touched the ice softly. “Admirable to hear this from you who has a fish tattooed on his back.” Suki climbed down and petted Rikki as he slowly moved to Jun’s side. “Tch, and you say you don’t stare at my back. Admit you like it.” replied Jun to the shorter man who smirked. “Like what? Your sad taste in tattoos?” was the answer and Jun ruffled through Suki’s hair. “And this guy with a sad taste is your lovely boyfriend.” Suki let out a deep sigh. Yeah, he had to admit that Jun indeed was lovely.
The two spend their time together with the two prairies unknown to them that something lied under the thick ice. A place which once secret slowly burns its way up, melting the snow away… A place horrifying and wished to never exist…
