this picture is a formal apology to leopold at whom, upon arriving to my island, i felt disappointment. quickly, though, i realized that leopold is actually one of my favorite villagers ever? and i'm so happy i didn't preemptively '"rid" myself of him, otherwise i wouldn't have gotten to make such a good friend

of course, being the master of starting things that i know i'll never finish, this was going to be part of a lil series of unexpectedly likable acnh villagers i came across in my journey in a gijinka-type style. however, he is the standalone product of that project, a project that may be resumed one day (but probably not, ngl lmao)

even tho this is sorta a simple drawing, i really liked the colors (and leopold in general) so i wanted to post regardless of how undetailed it is. as a rule, actually, one of my goals with this account is to actually become more comfortable with posting "unfinished" art. in the days where i was really active with my art on social media, i didn't hesitate to post sketch on sketch on sketch, but i gradually put myself in a box, arbitrarily deciding that the only art i could post would be "finished" - of course, this has led to a heap of stifled artblock ultimately culminating into a years-long artblock. so, i'd like to challenge that by feeling freer to post whatever i want hehe
