I like to shoot trees with a fisheye lens, adding IR just makes it even more interesting

Beautiful tree and the choice of angle is superb.
Awesome work capturing all the detail and colours of the bark from top to bottom of the tree. The blossom / flowers of the tree look fantastic when set against the dark sky, and that great contrast is shown all throughout the photo, which I like alot.

Gorgeous, you really have a true skill with your Infra red work. Ive just started so can only hope to get this good. Still trying to figure out what is a good exposure before I put it into photoshop!

Wow, you really make the most amazing photos with IR and fisheye! What a cool bend, and the horizon adds to that impression. As if the tree is curling up its roots to its crown!

I took the shot with a fisheye lens and some infrared gelatine material. I basically adjusted things in photoshop, curves, hue, channel mixer and then sharpened a little. Nothing really major.

Wow. I'm not too sure about the texture of the tree itself, it looks a little messy and the canopy is quite indistinct. However, I love the composition and fisheye effects of the shot. You convinced me to get hold of an IR filter, please don't trick me into buying a fisheye lense as well!

Thank you, I like the texture of the tree, but understand what you say about it being messy. Next time I will take some sandpaper and take away that nasty but interesting surface. As for the indistinct canopy, the fisheye really does shrink it in comparison to the tree trunk, but I like that because I think we so often ignore the tree trunk in favour of its leafy shade. Without that trunk the tree would not be there.
As for buying an IR filter, well you have made the right decision, you will have so much fun and I can tell you now that it is rewarding and fun once you get the technique right. As for the fisheye lens, well everyone knows that nikon make the better fisheyes, so you will just have to swith to nikon too

This is the absolute best I love it. I really like strange angles on trees. I try really hard I got some in Florida I look forward to putting on! Great work!

Yeah, because of my processing I am losing the EXIF data and I keep forgetting to add it, besides I thought it was obvious it was IR
