Behold, I have drawn a comic!
So, I was thinking... what if some of my characters were Mary Sues? Or better yet... what if they met their Mary Sue selves?
Erupted from a failed meme I tried...
But, nonetheless, this is nothing more than a parody! And it is meant to be exaggerated and downright silly. So, if I made you laugh, I have succeeded in my mission. 
So, characters I chose for this: Little Miss Destructive, Juni Jacobsen, Cindy the Typhlosion, and Ling Knight. Cue the Sues.

Miss Destructive-Sue: Perfect Sailor-Moonish hair, thick eyelashes, blush (because freckles are AWFUL!! ), thick lashes, and proclamation of her personality's contradiction to her name. Oh, and her declaration of 'troo wove' for Mr. Grumpy.
Mr. Grumpy: Wait... what?!
I don't even like her! Miss Destructive always wrecks my house when she visits! 
Oh, yeah, super-strong, and doesn't even break a nail! And she's the kindest person EVAR!!! 8D
Juniper Jerrica J'Anna Jacobsen: Ah, yes. Our superhero/biker/nurse/chef/cheerleader/supermodel! She's the oldest of twelve (while boring ol' Juni is smack dab in the middle of her family), who are apparently a bunch of orphans.
And her cousins are superheroes from two different companies! 
BB and Spidey: ....No. -.-;
Cynthia: Shed a tear for this one... she's been abused by her seriously messed up trainer in every way possible!
But, don't worry, she's okay and as happy as can be! And no scars to show! That ratty badger Cindy is soooo jealous! Cindy: Urge to kill... reaching dangerous levels...
Oh, and she's half of lots and lots of creatures, and it grants her the power to control Blue Fire Frenzy!
And she destroyed the Malonix, hooray! Lady D'Lisa Phantasma Ebony Metaling Knight: She wields Galaxia II! It's so amazing! Since she's an amazing swordfighter, she earned it, it's not like she made it like that brat Ling did! And why have a helmet to hide her gorgeous, long locks of navy blue hair?
Oh, and did you know that she's Meta Knight's girlfriend? Would you believe that their love is so strong that they don't need marriage to verify it? It's just too stressful for our perfect couple! And did you know that Kirby is their son? Who cares if neither Meta nor D'Lisa are pink; they're SPESHUL!!! 8D
Meta Knight: That last paragraph was entirely wrong!
Anyway, these are soooo wonderful, they SPARKLE!!! I could just die from their presence!

...okay, someone hand me some soap. I need to cleanse my hands of the crud I've just written.
Anyway, to clarify:
Miss Destructive--She lives up to her name. She tends to have a lack of empathy, and her relationship with Mr. Grumpy? She considers him an uncle figure; he doesn't like her. And why would she care about her nails?
Juni--Her current status is basically a high school student, who lives on a farm, and is the sixth child of twelve. Country girl with a thick Southern drawl. No relation to any Marvel or DC characters.
Cindy--True, Cindy has been abused(minus the sexual part, ew ew), but it hasn't been easy for her to move on. Bears that ugly scar on her right arm, and has a fiery temper. She may be a Semi-Legendary, but she can't control BFF, and Malonix are still flying around terrorizing everyone.
Ling--Okay, she's new, and you haven't gotten to know her that much. But if there's anything for certain.... she's NOT in love with Meta Knight. And never will be. And she has her own sword, which she forged herself, and she wears a helmet (she has hair... but she's not too proud of it). And she's definitely not Kirby's mother!
And my views on marriage? Tis sacred, people. Don't disregard it as something that's unnecessary or a just a piece of paper.
I'm sorry I couldn't show the 'Mary Sue Torture Machine'.... that would've been awesome. And that ending... I'm disappointed in myself for not coming up with better.

The Malonix wasn't even involved in the beginning. It was just classic abusive trainer... with a whip for some reason... and dang, Anonimo must be a well-built trainer to give Cindy a scar that bad...

Actually, change all of the 'Sues' characteristics, and they would make cute characters. XD
On a side note, it is possible to have a realistic character that also classifies as a Mary Sue. There are MANY famous characters, as well as real people, that fit under this dreaded title.
The only thing that makes them great characters? Good writing, well-worked personalities, and realistic flaws.
(Not painting everything neon colors and black helps too. [Not that you can't have a nice green and black red-eyed character...or that pastels = better characters, because that's not the case.] It's just those colors are so glaring and combining them without a second thought hurts eyes and heads.)
I am not fully supporting poor characters, however. We all go through the 'Mary Sue' faze. ALL OF US. Especially when we are new to a fandom, or are...eight or ten years old. We especially make these kinds of mistakes in our teens.
It's typically wish-fulfillment at that age. Our brains aren't as devoloped, and as such, everything is boring or 'sucky'. So a character is placed in a fandom of our choosing, and made an overpowered 'Sue as an outlet.
Creators are so blind about their own creations, but still recognize a badly written character when they see one. This stops eventually as we get older, leaving one to reflect on their childish jabs with shame.
Does that mean we should never create anything? That we should never release a story or picture with OCs because they might be a 'Sue?
No.
Why is this? Because as time goes on, we will learn and grow. Characters will evolve, and we become better at whatever we want to do by learning from past mistakes. These types of characters are a stepping stone. Nothing more.
This is the way of the artist.

It's like stereotypes, I try to stray away from them - I know some of my characters suffer from some stereotypical characteristics, but I try to work in some creative stuff.

Stereotypes get really annoying when watching a TV show or movie. It's best to take a stereotypical character, and then just throw it in a different direction!
