Careful. I haven't seen that far into the show yet, so I could be wrong here, but wad'n't that what Lapis said before she got dragged down into the bottom of the ocean?

Yo, what if that end up being her weapon when and if she un-prism/prison fuses with the big, buff Cheeto puff? Just, a giant paint brush, and someone asks
"Hey Lapis, if the water is coming from the ocean, where is the color coming from?"
"And where's Jasper?"
And Lapis just looks at them/ the camera and smiles.

Oh yes, it definitely beats out all of those, with the exception of Mad Max since I havne't seen that yet.
BECAUSE Steven Universe covers all of the bases when it comes to female, POC, and gay representation, not to mention great parental figures and just good, real characters/character development in general. They've succeeded in holding our attention and getting us SUPER excited for the next wave of episodes, like literally everyone is on board and can't wait to find out next (thats something a lot of movies now days can't do.)Β
The movies you listed were good, but they are FAR from the top quality list, for a good bunch of reasons.Β
Age of Ultron: Rape jokes, putting down the only female hero on the team, and the fact that it was basically a fanservice movie, it was ALL jokes and if anything, almost cartoony (ONCE AGAIN i enjoyed the movie, I'm not bashing it, I'm just pointing out what disapointed me and could have been made better.)
Jurassic World: we already discussed this one, but the terrible female character and stupid unnecessary sexualization, not to mention the whole "damsel hanging on to this big strong muscled character" the whole time isn't very original either. Not to mention they tried too hard to make it like the other three, and in doing so forced a lot of bad cinematography where it REALLY didn't need to be.
Ant-Man: I haven't seen this one yet either, but my friend said it was White-washed, but thats not a very big surprise with our film culture. Β Ill have to actually see the movie before I make judgements on this one though, I am excited for it.
Inside Out: I liked this movie, the art was BEAUTIFUL, but it really wasn't the best pixar movie I'd seen. For me it was just nice. I've got no complaints so far.Β
ANd Mad max i haven't seen yet either although THAT has sounded promising, but I'll see too
THANKS BRUH I do too, I really am starting to hammer out the dents and it's gotten hella nice and solidified

... Huh.
I haven't seen Mad Max or Inside Out yet myself, but I want to, and after your very, poignant points being pointed out, you might have me there.Β
Ant-Man: I'm not sure what your friend meant by "white-washed" though. There were several people of color in this movie. But without spoiling anything, the movie had been on Marvel's To-Do list since they were still "experimenting" with these films. I'm talking back to the Hulk movies back. But considering that, and that the film's had at least two directors, it was spectacular. Like, everything Marvel has learned as a company at this point, all the humor, serious moments, cinematography, finesse, they all shine here. The plot is, admittedly, a reskin of the plot to Iron-Man 1, but it's one of those good reskins that you actually prefer to the original. It's even got the stomach to address how stupid it is that Marvel still won't let a female actor take a leading role. I won't say anymore, but seriously, go see it.
Yup. Looking good.
