Description A background!!!

First time in a long time I tried to do a full detail background and I'm actually pretty proud with how it turned out! Kind of messy with the coloring but, eh. I like how it looks.

A scene I've had in my head for a while. Nothing really significant, just a simple black wolf who spotted a willow the wisp in the forest. I don't know who the wolf is, feel free to make up your own story behind it~

This is absolutely beautiful! The tree, the rocks, the wolf, the grass and the leaves, wow! The tree structure is very well done. I must give you many kudos for getting it right! Mastering this, I think, is extremely hard.
The ears on the wolf, are locating quite well! However, I feel they are a bit long for a wolf. The wolf's fur, is very very comfy-looking. By this, I mean very extremely fluffy looking! I love this look! :3 The front leg's anatomy is done awesome! I couldn't really think of anything better! The black on pink, for the pad, it is eye catching! As for the yellow eye! The back leg's structure, however, the ankle is very far up. It should be father down. It also looks as he is doing a kind of leap, but then, the right front leg is on the ground. The neck is thin for a wolf, especially one of this fluffy cuteness. The back paws on a canine, are smaller than the front. Which in this, they look a bit large.

Aside from minor anatomy, this is a very very impressive piece! I'm shore it will fit is the favorites of 'Art I luv' very nicely! c:

Vision wise, very pretty.
Originality, I have never seen anything like this, so I must say very original!
Technique, very well done.
Impact. Greatly.

This peice is IMMEDIATELY eye catching! The colors are so rich and earthy. Especially the black of the wolf. He's just gorgeous! The foliage, rock and simple grassy texures are also really well done. The black grunge around the edges of the frame fits wonderfully.
The only thing that I feel is REALLY missing from this picture is some reflective light from the will-o'-the-wisp, perhaps on surounding branches and lightly on the wolfs fur. Perhaps some very light shading near the bottom of the trees, branches and underside of the wolf, as well, could add to this very magical effect.
Over all, I think you did a wonderful job, especially being new to backgrounds! <3

Is the color digital or markers?
Nice job getting a full-background image out! I'm usually far too lazy to do those. >_>;
I like how you did the little wisp... I'm biased towards those, as they're one of my favorite faerie-like creatures.

Ah, okay, make sure you mark it as digital, not traditional, then!

And folklore's awesome... especially Celtic. I've always been obsessed with it.
