I start with one of the bases I have.
I draw the hair, cutie marks and whatever else a particular pony may have in Illustrator.
I then copy the things drawn in Illustrator into Photoshop and place them over the base.
I then position and edit as needed for the animation.
The physicis things such as bouncing of flexible items or swinging things is just based off of observation of the way I think things would work.

So where's your pony? I at least need info so I cn start on it. Mane color and style, tail color and style, coat color, cutie mark, eye color. Any other detials...
