Yeah there zoo is really getting better the past ten years. They got the tigers when they were really young a few years back. They are opening a brand new small animal house next week. They also have Hyenas and Bears. The Bears have a waterfall and pool to swim in just like the tigers only the bears you can see through the back of the waterfall.

It's pretty nice and has a ton of scape photo opportunities and the old bear den was taken down and replaced with a wildflower garden.

Well there is a river, a beach, an old bridge, wooden pathway bridges, an old school house, a large long natural cliff with trees growing on top with a road beside it, a cave, a cool staircase, multiple trails, a duck pond, a petting zoo with peacocks and guineafowls wandering through, a small walkthrough over a stream, A herd of Bison with atleast 2 white Bison, last few years they had a herd of zebras, don't know if they are there this year. There is a few old trains on display and within half a mile there is a community garden with multiple patches of flowers and a rose garden with over a dozen types of roses, and I forgot there is also a dam and small lake attached to it. It has a ton of opportunities and I've never been able to get it all in a year. Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β crgphotography.deviantart.com/β¦ I have an entire folder for it in my gallery. I have only photographed maybe 1/3rd of the things I listed because I don't have the time to get it all and I get tired quick. I've been going there for years and find out about new stuff online that I never knew was there because there is so many roads through it. I love it so I may be biased. It is free entry and runs on donations.

On pure acres it is bigger then any zoo in wisconsin and there is only 1 zoo in Minnesota with more acres. It is just mostly the Bison exhibit and forests and playgrounds.

Actually White Tigers are not a specific type of tiger but are a mutation. They started with 1 White Tiger and breed him and his children came out orange then they breed him with his daughters and got a few white ones. Then their children were inbreed together again and again and their children were inbreed together. Basically all white tigers are the severely inbreed offsprings of the same tiger. They were eventually mixed with Siberian Tigers and inbreed again because they found that when mixing inbreeding with the Siberian tigers they could occasionally get all white tigers and all orangeish pink tigers.

CRG-Free In reply to Zephyzu [2014-11-07 09:44:28 +0000 UTC]
Yes her name is Lulu. She is my best RL friend. She snuggles up against the glass by me, marks her scent glands on the glass by me, follows me around, plays tag with me, I have one photo of her paw by my hand. That is how I get photos of her so easily. I have one photo of her licking her paw on her side up against the glass by me. She actually was on her back before this like she was imagining I was rubbing her belly.
