I assume you were able to hear it's call?
Considering the fact that Hyla versicolor and Hyla chrysoscelis are only distinguishable by the difference in their calls.

No, I didn't hear it's call. I did my best to identify it based on the images I found after I Googled it.
I'm trying to be as accurate as possible, so I updated the description to include your comment.

Here in NC, or so I've been told by one of the Herpetological Society members, it's more common to find the Grey, and more common to find the Cope's further north. Just what I was able to find out by the asking and research I did when I got my own frog. (Who I found coated in gutter dirt on a sidewalk almost three years ago! He rode home in an empty Dasani water bottle...) If you have the chance to capture one, they seem to do really well on crickets, mine is very healthy, and easy to maintain. My Audubon Guide agrees with the Herp Society member about range, that the Cope's is less common here. (I just went and double checked.)
