On a whim I checked out Culdcept from the local library and it was pretty good. Basically a shounen title that is based on yet another card game in Japan. But the characters are interestng enough...especially this guy. He appeared and made me very happy! (In the manga he doesn't really have a torso, but like a floaty gem thingie and rings and can absorb spells)For the colour I did alot of searches online and online managed to find colour art for the game version of him. Which is a somewhat different character design. But I liked the purple tinted fur and the reddish cloak look for this alternate version and chose to use it here. and the prismacolour colourless blender is a dream!

Tetsuya Nomura did the game, I think. I know Cait Sith from the Final Fantasy games has this same design. Anyway, I really like this. I like the coloring on this, his pose, and how his cape flows like that. The folds in the cape are done well too.

Thanks, hon! And aren't they though? They (my coworkers) also got me an extender pencil for those colours that had been worn down to less than a nub. And I bought myself the "official" sharpener for prismacolours. Looks like a catseye ufo and works brilliantly!

you know...I have no idea...I think they are just supposed to look like lil paws maybe...
I often wish I had the ower to touch a piece of art and understand some of the motivations or jokes behind it...like I can make many assumptions about Sakon and Ukon's wardrobes, but only Obata-sensei knows the complete answers...
