I seem to be going through old loves or something. Gorillaz and now FFIX.Yeah, Imma admit it, I'm a fremarant shipper. I loved their interaction in the game and I read a lot of fanfics in my day gahahaha. They have this whole "I hate you, I like you, you're my friend, but don't tell anybody" kind of stuff going on, and I love it. *laughs*
I LIKED THIS PAIRING SINCE I WAS ELEVEN. WEIRD, ISN'T IT?
Sad thing is, that this came about when I was trying to draw Tantalus. I'm still working on that, but I keep getting Cinna looking really ugly. Which might be okay, we'll see *laughs*

Comrades-in-arms, war-buddies, hate-friends... whatever you call it, they did have a sort of backward friendship by the end.
I think it was due to the fact they both had very strong and stubborn personalities and both had a bit of disdain for Zidane's antics XD
I always wished I could play them when they fought Malaris the first time to place the Fire Mirror...

Dear God, thankyou for this; i've always thought these two were meant for each other, ever since i first came in contact with this game (about 7 years ago now <3), and now I've found other like minded peoples!
I love the chemistry/relationship between the two in-game, and i think you've capturedand developed it beautifully in this; great job!

Tbh, I luv luv FreyaxAmarant pairing, and I also played FFIX for the first time when I was 12 and I couldn't help it being a total girl and notice how Amarant has some certain hidden feelings about Freya, on the way how he opened up his past to her it was amazing, shame that Amarant is only featured in one cutscene (the final, such a shame). And as for Freya, she's my fav FFIX character, her desing, personality and not to mention beauty amazes me every time. I play FFIX every year, I even soloed Ozma with Freya, not that I wanna show-off myself. 
Greatly done picture, I never could draw Amarant's dreads properly tbh.

I think i love you, just for this - Freya and Amarant had such amazing chemistry during the game.
I'm a nosy bugger, so i've been reading the comments here and nodding along - agree,agree,agree. : D The only difference, for me, is that i had something deeply against Fratley. I couldn't (and still can't) understand why Freya just let him come back, even though he'd forgotten who she was.

Weird how many people are saying they never even thought of this pairing *laughs*. I remember I was a kid and watching the way they interact in the game and wondering if they'd end up together in the end or something because of how Amarant actually opened up a bit to her and not to anyone else (zidane excluded, but I think THAT was a really popular pairing in Japan gahahah)... But then, he refused to tell his past to Zidane and only said it to Freya. ...and then Fratley came back and I was like "...oh." *laughs*
AS AN ELEVEN YEAR OLD, I POINTED OUT TOO MANY THINGS AND THOUGHT TOO MANY THINGS CUTE. And now I'm stuck with them. Forever.

That's probably because I never finished the game. xD; Video games make me bored too fast. But I can see in what you're saying that you're right, they should have ended up together. |D [the only pairing I payed attention to was Zidane/Garnet which always made me angry.]
