Very nice work. For me the predecessor - the Carrera GT - is one of the most beautiful cars ever built. This car also inspired me for a painting in Adobe Illustrator (2-D, using no mesh/grid) from another interesting angle. See here: exotic-legends.deviantart.com/…

This one has no blends in it - I used to use them, but they technically aren't scalable so I try to avoid them. My process basically involves overlaid objects with different gradients using transparencies - in the gradient (fading to transparent), via blending modes (for example using multiply or screen to add to the underlying gradient/colour) or using plain old transparencies.

Nice work depicting what the street version of the 918 may look like. Love the rendering of the rims, interior and grillework.
The details on the Porsche logo/badge are outstanding. I found it very hard to render them properly without getting a pixelated mess.
Do you have an idea of how much time have you spent working on it?
