Double-D stayed up all night making a toothpick sculpture, so he wanted somewhere to sleep during the day. Since all the beds around weren't available, he settled for any surface sleep-able... hence the bald kid's head! Lol

Edd=Sniffles+Petunia (smart, obsessive cleanliness)
Eddy=Lifty+Shifty (scam artists)
Nazz=Giggles (female stereotype, most males are attracted to her)
Jimmy=Flaky (timid to no end, most adorable characters)
Plank=Cro-Marmot (only moves offscreen)
Rolf=Mime (foreign, no one understands them)
Kevin
Johnny/Captain Melonhead=Nutty+Splendid (oddball frienemy, alter ego is a failure hero)
Kanker sisters=imminent death (inevitable, unstoppable forces)

Yes, the Valentine special, where Double-D falls in love (due to Cupid's arrow, courtesy of two fairies that resemble Sarah and Jimmy) with May Kanker, who normally stalks Ed.
This makes Marie Kanker (Double-D's stalker) jealous to no end, and the two other Eds mad since Double-D is too distracted to aid them.
