Akyion Embergale

Backstory

The youngest of a clutch of two, Akyion was hatched into the Embergale family; a bispecies union between two upper-class dragons of fire and wind.

Unlike her brother- who was happy to follow in their parents’ footsteps- Akyion was more interested in literature and the arts, fascinated by stories of far-off lands and creatures despite her family’s disapproval.

Seen as a disappointment, Akyion grew tired of her family scorning her interests, and a few months before she reached her 50th year- the age of adulthood in dragons- she decided to leave her home and follow her dreams.

Akyion is friendly and optimistic. She can frequently be found smiling and likes to spend her time around others.

Her name is a combination of “Aky,” meaning “fire” or “flame,” and “Ion,” meaning “start/er or begin/ning.”
The most literal translation from Draconic to English is “Fire Starter”, but the correct translation is “Flamebringer.”
it is pronounced “Ah-KEY-on.”
