A Cherubim is a type of angel, there are other types of angels too, normally we here of archangels (arc angels) like Gabriel. God does however mention a seriphim (normally seen depicted with six wings two to cover their eyes two to fly and two to cover their feet.) I believe, in the book of Daniel. It is a pun of Cherub + Hare = C-HARE-ub. Hares have overlarge ears compared to rabbits so Piper drew them as the usual Cherub wings.
