That would be interesting! People are also complaining about the missing "nubs" on her head (like what Toothless has), but have people never heard of sexual dimorphism?? Like male lions have a mane and females don't...maybe female nightfuries just physically look like that.

Me too! She may be another, similar species (light fury) or a female one that just has sexual dimorphism (similar to how a male lion has a mane and females do not). It's common for male animals to look different than the females. People in the fandom don't seem to understand that

That's why I'm so curious about her! Not much is known about the species and from what we knew, Toothless was supposedly the last one. So we only knew the male version. It's got me on the edge waiting @_@

Sure, maybe we will learn more about who she is once we get to see the trailer.
Also she looks younger compared to Toothless who seems to be a bit older than her,
but guess it's because I don't see the back spine/spikes that are good for sharp turns.

My theory is that she’s semi-aquatic. If you look at the poster, the environment is all corals and plants. Also in the book the dragons disappeared into the ocean. She looks like a beluga whale too which is kind of neat
