Thank you pnn32 that means a lot coming from you. I aspire to create lighting like you (without octane as this is just a hobby and it's too expensive)

You can theoretically achieve same results in Iray.. both engines are unbiased with similar features, but Octane was developed by small independent team and Iray by famous nVidia
I'd recommend you to start with skin material (add a bit of glossy and SSS) and some post-effects like blooming and vignetting (as postwork or built-in in Iray, if possible) - it will greatly improve final result.

I'm actually looking at ways to improve skin at the moment for a render which i've almost finished. Adding gloss and SSS is very new to me, Do you know of a good tutorials that explains the process and what setting to change to do what.
