Tyche's polar deserts were just as inhospitable during the early days of her colonization as they are today. Lest they be ravaged by ferocious ice storms and blizzards, teams operating far enough from the planet's equator had to be constantly on the move, with all their facilities and supplies in tow, over desolate ice fields and jagged mountains. Super-heavy expeditionary vehicles of varying make and model filled this role, and would remain symbols of Tychean grit, ruggedness, and tenacity long after the defeat of the colonial authority.
