Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears.Currently I'm very much into Poe's stories and even played a cute little game to his stories, so I decided to paint a portrait of him. I don't know why, but I often want to draw a person I read a lot about. Maybe to make is image been stuck better to my mind and memory?
It's painted with watercolours. Back to the roots, yay!
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

Technical wise an awesome execution! 
That is a really great result for watercolours.
Really nice background texture and blood splatters.
Hair and facial features are pretty niceley captured recogniced him as soon as I saw this as a thumb.
The only thing I have to criticise here are his eyes they do not fit perfectly in there. At this point your manga influences shine trough really strong and it is not the end of the world cuz you work in this stuff a lot but less simplified ones would fit even better. What I want to say is that they are good, they fit but not perfect you could do better
Really good job here. I envy you for your traditional art skills. And I read a quote somewhere saying that envy is the best compliment one could give
