It was pet sitting time again for Torres, this time with Angela’s pet hamster, Harley, for the week. It was pretty easy work for Torres, just refill the food and water bottle once they’re empty, pick up the waste, and let him out if he starts scratching the cage.

On the final day of looking after Harley, Torres decided to stay at Angela’s place a little longer than usual. She caught up with some documents for La Empresa, when she heard some scratching from the cage. Well shoot, he’s been a good boy all week, and now when Torres wanted to attend to some important business, Harley wanted some attention. She rolled her eyes and let the little bugger out to do some exploring around the living room. It was then that Torres got a call from a client about some intel she needs a rundown of.

She sat down and jotted some notes from over the phone, while keeping Harley in her peripheral vision. The little guy then had the urge to sit down and stare at Torres while she finished up the conversation. Maybe it was the vibrant pink clothes she wore or the sound of her soothing voice, but whatever it was, Harley eyes were locked on her. She let out a slight titter before hanging up, looking at the little hamster gazing up at her.

“What do you want Harley?”, Torres said. The hamster let out a couple of squeaks, even reaching his arms up as if he wanted to be picked up. “Hm, alright come here little guy”. Torres carefully cupped Harley in her hands and picked him up, with the hamster sitting comfortably in her palms. Harley’s eyes were fixated on Torres’, with her giggling to herself. “You know, you are kinda cute.” Torres said smiling down at Harley. Despite the hardbody and ungodly strength, Torres always treated small animals with such gentleness. Seeing a tiny critter so comfortable in her grasp gave her such glee.

She steadily petted Harley’s furry head as his ears tucked back, and gave him a quick kiss on the nose. His eyes watered and nose began fluttering, clearly something the little guy enjoyed! “Aww you are so adorable”, Torres said as she nuzzled her nose with his before placing Harley back in the cage. She gave him one final goodbye before leaving Angela’s place, and giving Harley a memory he would hope to remember! 🐹
